stupid cpu....or bios

ok so i was playing bf2 the other day and its really laggy and i thot it was just a one time thing,i thought wrong checked bios it says fsb(front side bus) 166 and multiplier at 6 so ok i changed FSB to 200 and multiplier to 11.0 and it reboots and it says 1200mhz still....so pretty much the multiplier is stuck at 6.0 no matter what i changed the multiplier to.....anyone know what could b the problem???

Any other details such as mobo type, cpu, bios version, etc.?

I assume this is an AMD64 processor and the bus speed should be 200 and your CPU's multiplier 11.

Ok, you're still not giving very much info.

I again assume this is not a Barton core. Your standard multiplier would be 15 and FSB 133. It sounds like you've unlocked your multiplier so you can get the higher FSB speeds. You'd better check the unlocking job. If it's not quite right, you'll get weird multiplier settings.
