New Rule

We need a script preventing DarkViper, Cymba, StrikeFear and Santa from being on the same air squad. At least 3 of youg guys were together on the Dalian Plant map at the beginning of the against the MECs PW nite and we had no recourse for most of the map. There were literally 2 attach choppers revolving around my base and hacking us to bits. If only the gore patch was installed...

Ok I'm only half joking, but DAAAMN got share some of that dominance with the newby squads, not my aging body...

Re: New Rule

When I see Cymba in a helo I squeal like a girl and try to run to the map boundary and hide there.

1 memorable bombing run against your squad was when you were en route to one of our undefended bases in a buggy, and i bombed yall before ya got there. Then i came back and strafed your squads apc to just run into a tree. Wish i could play more on the PWed wednesdays but alas

Heh in the last minute of the game i landed at an enemy base in the middle of a firefight, hopped out, grenade launched a guy that just stared at me, hopped back in the plane and attempted to back out. a tank shell got me though...

Re: New Rule

It does happen from time to time, that the good pilots are all in one team. It's not a bad idea to keep things balanced, it enhances gameplay and it's more fair. On some maps you just don't stand a chance if you got no pilots in your team.

Re: New Rule

I was watching Shina's score last night on Oman.. He was like 85-6 as a pilot. Wow..

Re: New Rule

Just wondering, if all these guys who just do piloting are in the game, what does that leave for those that aren't the "known" regulars. Do they get a chance to fly if they'd like or is it just usually given to these guys by default? I am sure it doesn't happen like the latter, but it could become an issue at some point and I think it would be nice to see it addressed.

Basically, will other pilots, say they join the air squad, be given chances to fly or will many of these pilots not relinquish the assets?

Haven't ever joined an air squad and asked have you heh. All of the well known pilots are the first to give up their planes if anybody asks. I never hog the planes, I do what I am good at but if anybody else wants to fly and joins their air squad I'll let them have it.

Usually if someone wants to fly I tell them to join my helo squad and then I share the helo with them. I also usually ask my gunners if they want to fly.

Sometimes if there's only one attack chopper and there's already a 2 man helo squad I'll just go ground.

My one pet peeve are some ppl who consistently take the helo's when they know there's a helo squad and ignore our requests for them to join it. I've even see SL's of ground squads take our helo while we're going towards it. VERY annoying. Usually the commander expects the helo to be in the squad and gives orders to us accordingly.

Aye, If you join an Jet squad ill usually give up the jet and take turns on the jet/bomber if the people that want to use them arent completely noobish. If you crash while taking off or within 20 seconds of taking off you dont need to be flying on a pub

I had fun flying on Oman with Shina, but I wish he would have gotten into the Jet squad because I couldnt communicate with him at all. Flying on Daqing was even more fun, but I ended up with alot of TK's because I wasnt getting updated bombing orders fast enough. Got orders to hit a flag and by the time I was there it was full of friendly's which i couldnt see until after i dropped my ordinance.

Re: New Rule

The problem on Dalian planet was that no one challenged these guys. I spawned on the carrier to find EVERY SINGLE air asset just sitting there. Both planes, both BH's, and the attack copter. With that happening and good pilots on the other team, we are asking for everything that we get. All these guys had to worry about was the occassional AT rocket and then they would limp back for repairs. If we were lucky we could use a .50 to get them before they got out of sight.

But I agree, they should split up between the two teams

That was damn funny. I said to my squad mates "Hey guys, someone just landed the J-10 on the flag!" You just don't see that very often

Re: New Rule

YerMom was a pretty deadly pilot too. Around 3pst we were just owned by Mom and a few others in the helo.. It does start to suck but we finally got some air of our own up and held them back.

This was my first time getting to play on PW night.. tons O fun!!

Re: New Rule

Actually, when I am nto with 1st-MIP I have been trying my hand at being a Helo pilot and gunner at which I think I am getting pretty good at. I usually will create a Helo squad or Air squad, but I never seem to be on the same with any of the names listed above. We would change out who was pilot/gunner a lot of the time, and I just wanted to make sure it was the same with these known names. Hopefully, we can be on the same sometime.

My biggest peeve of the squad is the same as yours cymba. When people take the assets like the helo or air when a squad is there to help the commander designate those assets. This doesn't happen to often, but with some pubbies it does.

Finally, I have flown/gunned with YerMom a couple times and I think we make a pretty deadly team. So, I agree he is a good pilot myself.
