Friendly match vs. [AGB] A Gaming Brotherhood

I've been talking with [AGB] A Gaming Brotherhood about setting up a friendly match. They have enough interested players to make for full 32v32 games and this could easily turn into a weekly thing also.

AGB has similar rules to TG and these matches would be different than the clan matches that some of you have participated in. We would be playing by the TG rules.

Note that this is separate from the match vs AGE.

This match is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, Aug 27th. Time has yet to be determined so please answer this poll.

Note: AGB has quite a few overseas players so they would prefer the afternoon time, but is open to either.

Why is Sat going to be the day when the previous poll you ran indicated that on Mon and Thurs we could field 20 players instead of 12?
Just curious.

The UK is now six hours ahead of you guys so I don't think I'll be able to unless it is in the afternoon.

This first match will be on a Saturday since that worked out best for AGB. Afterwards we'll look at trying some weekday nights.

Re: Friendly match vs. [AGB] A Gaming Brotherhood

Is this a one time or recurring match up? I guess I'm concerned about doing AGB and AGE on the same day in a recurring fashion. In that case, Saturday goes in the bin.

EDIT: oops, I see you already answered that. Still concerned though.

I will not be able to attend this match if it is held on the 27th because I'm moving into my new apartment that weekend.

Saturdays are listed as a non-gaming day in my household. Pennance for all the rest of the gaming I do the remainder of the week.

Re: Friendly match vs. [AGB] A Gaming Brotherhood

The plan is to try and make matches vs. AGB recurring. That might mean once a month, bi-weekly, or weekly. We'll have to see how it fits into everyone's calendar. We don't want it to conflict with AGE either. This Saturday was selected as the introduction match.

We better scratch the 27 then or there will be a lot of extra bodies on the floor!

Post Re: Friendly match vs. [AGB] A Gaming Brotherhood

So asch, I was just wondering if we can make the active roster before the game day so that TG players who are not affiliated with regular teams will also have a chance to come together and discuss how they will work as a squad.

Example:

Match Day: 27 August
Registration Begins: 20 August
a) Group I (I will definitely show up at the specified time)
b) Group II (I may probably come but not certain)
Registration Ends: 25 August
25 August-27 August:
1) Squads are formed (with backup player lists, if primaries dont show up then backups replace them)
2) Squad members meet and discuss tactics on teamspeak
3) COs meet SLs for strategy discussion

Q. What if there are more than 32 players who will be there?
A. We will make the process fair a) after first game, players are changed, b) for the next meeting priority is given to players who never played before
