UCB Camping Questions

I believe any UCB camping questions that address arbitrary or theoretic situations no longer belong in the forums. PM an admin if in doubt.

We are rapidly leading to the stage where we will get questions like:

"So what if I load up a buggy with C4, crash into an asset, knife a rabbit, then hop into a turret, but change positions twice. Target a hostile, but don't shoot. Blow the C4 and accidentally cause half damage to the CO, then escape in a jet, but realise halfway down the runway that I can't do this, so stop and leave the jet on the runway, but then the opposing team can't use the jet unless they back it down the runway. When they back it down the runway, they clip their wing on a ladder and it blows up. Is that OK? If not, what type of shoes should I buy for tennis practice on Wednesdays?"

Let's cross each bridge when we come to it or PM an admin if you would like clarification. I'm not having a go at anyone in particular, just making a general request to stop complicating the UCB rule. Use common sense and ask an admin by PM if in doubt.

I will sticky this for a little while so everyone gets a chance to read it. I will then bury it, hopefully forever.

I'm a little ticked.
Why did you have to bring the rabbit into it. You're implicating the rabbit. It's clearly not the rabbit's fault. Not the half damage to the CO, anyway.
By all right's the rabbit should have been free to repair the C4 if he wanted. No one should be telling him how to drive a tank.

yeah, but that little bastard was hopping all over the place, so he was CLEARLY in the right on that one imho

Please also notify us if the rabbit bunny hops. But be aware that if the rabbit is jumping over something (or trying to but repeatedly failing) then that is not a bunny hop. It is a jump.

Personally I think the rabbit got what was coming to him considering he was obviously camping the UCB as a sniper class, which allowed for the enemy's knifing. I'd say the next time we find this rabbit we need to inform him of the standards of play here or we will have to ban him.

Am I the only one who thinks that the UCB vehicle stealing could be solved by a patch that locks the vehicle? I mean, you lock your car, why wouldn't you lock a Tank/Jet so that only friendlies could get into it? I think all vehicles should be locked for team only, but they could be unlocked by a change of possesion or maybe spec-ops?

Bombing of the UCB is something that still happens a lot, such as getting a Black Hawk just before it takes off the carrier.
If a guy bunnyhops, then for me, all bets are off when it comes to killing him, knife or AT missles, you name it.
In servers with the unlocks, bunny hoppers just land in front of my DAO-12

I think you can only stay in the UCB after you got the assets and want to make sure that they stay destroyed, but only if ordered.

I used to play on a BFV server that had this, so I would say it's possible. I remember the first time my buddy dropped me off from the Huey and I dropped onto the MI-8, I couldn't get in. I ran around trying to get into the thing to no avail. Of course, I was promptly killed because the weapon I intended to use was not available to me.

I'd like to see this on the UCB vehicles only though, not in the main battlefield.
