other server kick for no reason
I was playing on other server. I was a commander I was doing well all the flag was takeing and the tic was 168/53. I was kick for TK from my Arty I told the squad to move out the way. They stay then they got hit by arty. And in few minute I was kick by admin why?
I thought some change in some server not really. ____________________________________________ =TG= LuNiSiCx Last edited by lunisicx; 08-26-2005 at 05:11 AM. |

Re: other server kick for no reason
There has been a change in the server, actually. It's possible that the idle-kicker got you (3 minutes of inaction [and I've yet to determine how it figures that out] will get you the boot). It's a byproduct of the new BF2CC, and we're discussing whether we should keep it or send it packing.
So far as the artillery goes, it's not supposed to go through the usual TK-punish routine for comms hitting stupid squads; I'll double check the code to make sure it wasn't that that got you. Or, there could be a million other stupid reasons. ![]()

Is this your stuff poker? Seems wierd PB would do this. Not that I have a problem with it..if fact I think it's a good idea. I'll be quicker to form a new squad in future.

Re: other server kick for no reason
I noticed A LOT of people getting kicked last night. More than normal. I couldn't figure out why because no reason was thrown across the screen - people would just suddenly disappear. Maybe the time needs to be raised since it was getting people that were idle for tactical reasons, rather than folks that had run down to the store or something.
BF2CC is the admin program used to control the server.. I think those messages about bunny hopping and UCB camping are done through BF2CC. Heh, those messages seemed to be working in reverse.. I noticed more bunny hopping last night than usual. There were a couple guys with the same clan tag that were all hopping around -- too bad it didn't work because I got one of em with my pistol. |

Was it a Punkbuster message? If so then that is one of the bugs with the Punkbuster program. It's happened to me before and seems to be related to the game not always updating the Punkbuster files like it should. Go to the Punkbuster website and use their web update program to update your punkbuster files and run that program at least once a week to keep those files updated. That seems to have alleviated the problem for me. |
