gather round chillen, its story time!
once upon a time, there was a squad leader. as any good father figure of a squad, this person obtained rotary wing transport to his objective in the form of a blackhawk! sitting in the pilot seat, waiting for the grey squares to turn green, the pilot much to his chagrin saw one of the squares turn blue! ohes noes! a solo squad member!!! as the crew spawned around him, little Johnny the medic however, was blatantly screwed by Bob the blue guy. no matter how many times the pilot pounded on the "get out" command, Bob gave the spirit of tactical gamer the shaft by sitting on his ass and not joining his squad. sorry for the sarcasm... this happened like... 4 times today. people, please... if the driver of a vehicle is NOT in your squad, please, don't break up the element of a squad by imposing your lump of warm flesh into a squads sole source of transportation! i hope this story has made you as happy and cheerful as me! its so FUN to vent!

I'll join the vent thread!
Once there was a MEC dork, who couldnt tell his rifle from a spork, He forgot (?) to change from GP-30, he rushed the flag in a hurry, and out I popped shooting hot lead! He didn't take time to think, fired a High Exlposive round within 8 feet, and got away with flag while I ended up dead! IRL someone would be INSANE to use high explosive rounds at close range.... but this is only a game.... The M203 & GP-30 are devastating weapons... I'll refrain from bitching about them further. |

Re: More common sence FUN!
Legato - I feel your pain. I too tried to secure a black hawk for my squd. Being a rubbish pilot i hopped in the back (leaving the guns free as well as it is better for me to just look at the map and talk when SL).
2 of my squadmates hopped in, and then the pilot seat turned blue. However even more frustrating was that before any one else in my squad managed to get it, this blue dot took off - effectively kidnapping me! Of course halfway across the map he bails. No one in my squad at the time could fly at all. One thought he could, but was soon proved wrong as we hit the dirt and died ![]() Never did find out who the mystery kidnapper was. But yes I agree with your call - if you are not in the squad of a guy in a vehicle, please leave it alone!
