What is teamspeak? I only got BF2 for 6 weeks now and I dunno what team speak is just yet, can anyone give me the basics?

Ok I got TS installed, and I can login to the server, but now what do I do?

Change the settings to make TS push-to-talk. Select a button you don't already use for BF2 voice.

Get in a channel with other people. Push that button. Say hi. Let go of the button. Marvel at the wonder of technology.

You mean check on ''Disable Direct Input''?

Ok I can talk now and my icon lights up, do I have to select a person and then press to talk?

Under settings-->sound input/output settings, do what you need to do to enable push-to-talk for your favorite button.

If your icon is lighting, then you're transmitting. You transmit to the whole channel that you're in (not subchannels, nor parent channels). It's possible to bind PTT buttons to "whisper" to one person, but one step at a time.

I got the key binds set that were in the TS FAQ so thats fixed to.
So 30 mins before the clan game tonight begins I go to the Default Community channel and shout ready or something?

There will probably be a channel set up for that specific purpose. If there's not when you first connect, hang out in the default channel for a bit and keep an eye out for people that are joining you.

Yup - I've asked Apo to set up a subchannel in the BF2 retail channel for us for tonight's scrim.

Just turn up 30 mins prior and say hi - I'll be on
