Features I miss...

There were some features in the battlecraft (BF1942/BFV) editor that I dearly miss...

1) Paint all!
I used to be able to paint the whole map or at least very large sections of the map much easier. This is very tedious now.

2) Random Terrain
Maybe I'm missing it, but sometimes I used to random generate a terrain and work from there. The random button now creates a ton of spikes which are pointless to try and use.

"Support game play in a near-simulation environment. Where the focus of play would not be solely on doing what it takes to win, but doing so utilizing real-world combat strategy and tactics rather than leveraging exploits provided to players by the design of the game engine, regardless of the level of advantage, if any, it gives over the opposing team." -- Tactical Gamer Primer

I think I read somewhere that if you paint part of the terrain a certain texture it will automatically make the rest of the terrain like that in game. Although, it still would be a good feature to have a paint all just for appearance while editing.

Hello

<<=== New guy so please be paitient

" Finally, Note that you do not have to paint the entire surface in order to test a map. Any unpainted areas will be filled with a default texture when you save the map. You may go back and continue painting or change what you’ve previously painted at any time during the level creation process. "

This is from the terrain editor tutorial from EA .

Hoppe it helps .
