Question Asus K8v Deluxe Mobo

I've been waiting for the price to drop on the ASUS K8V DELUXE MOBO Product Info Here

I was planning to buy from Newegg.com but the price suddenly flew from $135 to $154. Now the product is OUT OF STOCK. I went to MWAVE.COM and ZIPZOOMFLY.COM and they are also OUT OF STOCK on this mobo.

Does anyone know if ASUS recalled their mobos or were coming out with a new set of them soon?

I know there were some problems with bad chipsets and needing to flash bios for certain CPU's...

Re: Asus K8v Deluxe Mobo

I'm starting to get a little panicky...

This mobo seems to have fallen off the face of the earth...

what is the ASUS K8V SE DELUXE? Is it the same as the regular deluxe?

Re: Asus K8v Deluxe Mobo

Probably the same thing just costs more....

Just find a board that has the Silicon Image chipset controller for your SATA RAID and a decent BIOS and you should be good. Holding out for that particular board could be trouble. If you REALLY want it bad, try eBay?

Re: Asus K8v Deluxe Mobo

Just got this e-mail back from ZipZoomFly.com regarding my inquiry about them being out of stock on the asus k8v deluxe. Seems like the SE edition is the new wave of the mobo...

Unfortunately while I was waiting, the corsair memory shot up $8 a stick...so now I'm looking at $16 extra.

I thought prices were gonna get lower if I waited longer....
