Abandoned vehicle, explode time

Is it possible to change it?
I would like to see jeeps becoming available more quickly, so squads are able to move to their objective faster and commanders have better control over the battle.

Not that I have found. If you want the jeeps available back at their spawn point, drive them into a lake or blow 'em up.

Re: Abandoned vehicle, explode time

Players need to learn to take more value in the vehicles. They shouldn't be abandoning them. Damage / time should be longer for vehicles. Just because vehicles aren't the best for actually attacking does not mean they are less valuable.

At the same time, movement and mobility is crucial the way maps work in bf2.
Just because players ditch them doesn't mean we should make them blow up faster. On the contrary, players should learn to better utilize vehicles.

However every other vehicle should never be ditched, because every other vehicle is an armor.
So maybe the players should not leave the vehicle off on the side because they know it's eating up a vehicle the rest of the team could use. You don't usually see someone taking a fighter jet as a taxi.... players need to learn how to more effectively use vehicles.

Jeeps are used to get a squad quickly from base to base. I don't see another use.

Destroying vehicles is not very practical. You end up driving yourself in the water, and blowing up a jeep just as a teammate enters it.

Mind I'm only talking about jeeps.

Re: Abandoned vehicle, explode time

Think of it this way... there are only a limited number of jeeps for a reason. If we wanted to provide quick access / transportation around the map, we could just place 20 jeeps. The limited use of vehicles means that a player needs to take care of the vehicle.

I understand what you're getting at with trying to make jeeps destruct faster. I think we're just striving after two different play styles on the server in that respect.

Phew, I haven't been noticed!

And btw, I totally agree with the vehicle value. I wonder what would happen if the spawn time was really long... I have a feeling that the vehicles would all disappear at the start of the map and leave everyone on foot.
