Re: Support class is perfect in singleplayer
I for one also see a differance with support as well as anti tank between the singleplayer and multiplayer. And here I thought it was just me. The hits are so much better in singleplayer with the two classes.

Re: Support class is perfect in singleplayer
What difficulty level are you playing it on? I only ask because if it's on easy then I am not going to put much credit in it. Although I will say that the network code is quite probably bugged. Sometimes I'll stick a shotgun in someones gut and get no hits at all. I remeber Halo 2 had some kind of code where it predicted where your machine predicted where the player was going to be without actually knowing, anyone know if BF2 works like that?

It is also possible that there is a different level of 'spread' on the guns in single player. It woudlnt' be the first time a game made the guns work differently in SP than in MP.

Re: Support class is perfect in singleplayer
IMHO one of the big differences is the AI tends to move slower and less irratically then humans, when you take out the additional effects of lag you get a very different feel to the game. Sniping in singleplayer is incredibly easy.

Re: Support class is perfect in singleplayer
I love support class in mp as well... ammo packs give you tons of points, but from a good position you can easily suppress an entire squad, giving your own squad great cover to advance on a position. As far as killing, don't forget the support weapon can fire longer than any other inf gun. Keep your target in the circle while aiming down the sight and jam on the fire button till its dead. It helps to put that little pin on the targets head but don't let up on the trigger untill you are just about to overheat or run out of ammo. I suggest to all squad leaders to try having 2 supports in your squad to offer suppressing fire on your approach to a target.
