Reserved Slots go into effect tonight..

Alright guys, thanks to Pokerface we will be installing our new reserved slot system tonight.

What this means is that ALL Supporting Members will need to have their bf2 IDs in their profiles. Read here for instructions.

What this will do is generally allow a max of 62 players on the server. If the server is at 62+ players, Supporting Members can join the server and it will kick a non-supporting member automatically. Non-supporting members will not be able to join when the server has at least 62 players on it.

So, Supporting Members, please make sure your IDs are in your profiles so that you do not get kicked.

Sweet, I noticed last night that the #2 server wasn't showing up, did they take that one down for now?

ive noticed server 2 being down for the past week...uf you see poker thank him..its going to free up our admins alot and hopefully make them better players

Thank you to Poker! this is GREAT news for the SM's and Admins alike. I really hated having to interrupt an admin so generally just waited it out... know no worries and I will get in directly.

Most commonly when I join the TG server it is at 62 or 63 players. While I occasionally get booted to make room, usually there's enough natural rotation to allow me to squeeze in again.

Ah well.

Server is 64/64 right now.. are there really 64 supporting members on? It's not letting me get on and I have my PID in my profile (been there since ya'll started asking for it). I only connected when the server showed 63/64.

And I haven't seen server 2 up since the SG scrimmage. In fact, my ASE still has has server name showing TG vs SG, so it doesn't look like it was ever switched back to the normal config.

from your description it sounds like it is holding the last 2 spaces for the members but what happens if those last 2 slots are taken by Supporting members? i'm guessing it wont kick them so then the member trying to join can't get in.

im interested why it allows 62 players on and not 64?

any chance of seeing the code you are using? i'm just interested in how you are doing this and the limitations of the game in doing it.

if you would like any assistance sorting this out I will help any way I can

The 2 slots are needed to 'analyze' potential joiners. It will only get to 64 if EVERYONE on the server is a SM.

BTW, this system is not working tonight. We hope to have this corrected as soon as possible.
