I would say most importantly avoid running into Ultrablue, JMJ, Bommando....oh sorry that's not what you meant!

Get a good mouse, very important. Crouch or go prone immediately to stabilize your shot, or keep moving in random directions. In those cases where I'm suddenly face to face with someone and have one of those "oh crap" moments I back up and move to one side or the other making a semi-circle in random directions.

Of course there's always the key binding to drop and roll to one direction, but I don't consider that terribly TG.

Do you mean the normal roll, or you mean something else? There's nothing wrong with rolling to the ground instead of just dropping.

There was another thread on this topic if you search a little bit.

- go prone, but keep moving if going prone puts you at a disadvantage (multiple enemies for example)
- make sure to aim your shots - shooting air is useless, and head shots will end the battle quickly
- shoot in short bursts of 3 rounds or so (some weapons force this), switch to the pistol immediately if you run out of ammo

Expect to lose lots of one-on-one battles. The TG way is to outsmart your opponents and avoid getting in one-on-one battles in the first place. At least not ones where they are facing you.

Re: Has anybody got any tips or videos on shooting???

I don't know if it's just me, but I TRY to get into one on one battles as much as possible. I play Sqaud Leader a lot, so having someone RIGHT near me is completely stupid in my opinion; a medic nearby or in sight might help, but not on me. Thus, I usually spot people by myself and am able to take out more then my fair share of people before going down everytime. I guess I love One on One battles a bit more because I usually end up on top .. =P

Tips:

~ As soon as you see the person, go prone.
~ If prone prevents you from shooting at him, go croched
~ Almost never stay right up to shoot.
~ Use sights as much as possible
~ If it's all about speed and you're close, don't use sights and aim and shoot rapidly before they can kill you.
~ The faster you are, the faster you are going to kill someone before they can kill you. You have semi burst on pistols...use it fast if you're close! I don't know how many times I've seen someone barely tapping their pistol at me while charging and I bring out my pistol and kill him in 1.5 seconds.
~If you are close and OpFor, don't do the 3rd burst tip. Your accuracy WILL suffer, but you are so close it DOESN'T MATTER. I've killed two people standing right next to eachother multiple times doing this.

~To aim with ironsights, aim just a bit lower then the top of the rectangle and you'll hit more. This is especially true when you are semi-autoing a sniper
~To aim with Sniper: http://www.tacticalgamer.com/battlefield-2-tactics-missions-discussion/58207-look-sniper-rifles.html or ask some of those people. I'm not a sniper and I will never see the effectiveness of one in a sqaud either.

~Furthermore, I must STRESS the importance of laying prone NO MATTER where you are to your target. If you are 5 ft away from him and can knife him, lay prone and go full auto on him..

Hope I helped =P

As far as the special forces gun, just point the red dot at the dude, click a couple times, and wait a bit.

I'd amend that to not wait, and keep firing until after a series of yellow x's appear over your sights, and only stop when you stop getting the x's and get a "you killed some guy" message.
