Why can't I join????

I don't get it. Whenever I try to join, it didn't even load and kicked me out. Anybody knows what's the problem?

I'd guess it's the new auto-kick-to-make-room-for-SM's feature.

yeah its happened to me even when the server isnt full
very annoying
I always go to server to for a while then try to join again

Negative. You should try to get a game started on Server 2. We have more than enough people to fill both servers in the evenings, it's just that nobody is willing to idle for a few minutes to entice people to fill the server. Sure, there might only be a handful of people in the server for a round or two, and that's not too much fun, but it'll eventually fill and you'll be treated to some more TG gaming goodness.

If you're seeing 62 people on the BF2-#1 server, consider it full.

We offer a second BF2 server, as Cing eloquently stated. Please feel free to make good use of it (as you apparently are, but that last sentence was aimed at everyone).

Have you had a chance to see if we can up the max players to 66 so we can continue to have 32v32 games?

Folks are looking into that, but truly, does each team miss that 32nd player that much?

I don't think it's so much that extra player, but it would be cool if the server would allow 66 while only advertising 64 in the browser.

One of the most common queries we get on TeamSpeak is "why can't I join? It says it has open slots."

It would just make it simpler if everything "appeared" to be the same as normal, but the slots were open.

Of course, I am very happy that we have even come this far, so it's not a huge concern.

I don't think it's a big deal. I'm mainly just curious if it's possible and think it would be nice to do if it's just a simple change.

Also, is it possible to hide the auto-kick messages for people that are trying to join the "full" server? I must have seen hundreds of those in the kill list last night. That might look a little bit suspicious to people new to TG who don't understand what's going on.

You could cut down on the confused people by changing the kick message. Right now it's the default. A word on the Supporting Member program would explain to them what's going on and maybe recruit a few more SM's.

Right now there's no way to change the kick message, or we would have done so...
