Songhua & Dalian - 9/23 1830-2030 PDT

I had a great time SLing. In Dalian and Songhua my team of

bwk.ace malv sumluv milkserip bane2 Diceman01

worked great.

I always feel like I die too often, or we don't properly achieve our objective --- but thinking about it we didn't do too bad. We held the warehouse in Dalian very well until we where overwhelmed by way too many guys with a preference for rooftops.

Thanks for sticking with me.

Songhua & Dalian were some really good games. Came into the game on the Chinese side down about 100+ tickets. Who ever the commander was did an excellent job at holding the enemy back on Songhua. Coming back from 100+ down is pretty good. Dalian was really good we tried a few things with another squad and we held 3 flags almost the whole game with 12 people. Good job squad, it is fun leading people who already know what to do. I'm starting to like this Squad Leader thing.

Yeah, Turbo and I worked together on Dalian via TS. I'm enjoying the SL role more and more. I don't mind getting kills but it's almost more fun for me to keep my squad updated, organized and accomplishing our objectives.

i guess i'm the pessimist, but i thought those games sucked. in fact, every game i've played in the past month has sucked.

i don't think i've been on the winning team a single time. every time i play, we bleed the whole time with 3/4 of the team bunched up and doing nothing. i just don't get it.

burble - could be that you are getting too good and you notice more when things don't work as you'd like them to be. I have been in some real good games. Just try to be a SL and see how hard it is to keep things organized and moving in the right direction.

As USMC, I didn't think last night's games were that terrible. We may have gotten stomped a few rounds (Dalian & Oman..), but I still managed to have fun somehow. I don't know if it was being on a good squad or if the teams were not too far out of balance or what. Wasn't nearly as bad as Wednesday night.

USMC took a beating for much of last night. But then we rallied on Karkand, Daqiq and Mashtuur.

Re: Songhua & Dalian - 9/23 1830-2030 PDT

Dalian, & the following map, Oman, were just brutal on the USMC side; it seemed like we were getting hammered wherever we spawned. I almost threw in the towel at one point, but decided to hang around for just one more round.

It's a good thing I did, because that one round turned into three. Like James315 said, it got a whole lot better the next 3 rounds on Karkand, Daqing, & Mashtuur for the USMC (after around 2100 PDT), where we won all three. I ended up being SL for squad 2 for those 3 rounds, and pretty much anything I asked of my squad, they did it.

It was just great; one of the best times I've had squad leading. Pretty much any objective I placed down, they achieved, whether it be offense or defense (Daqing was a lot of defense). At one point one of the squad members said it felt like we were a "well oiled machine", which pretty much summed up the kind of teamwork and coordination I've been striving for as SL.

Anyway, kudos to COs SausageMakerMan, Munchkin, and Knight_Ace, and to my squad members Arf, Dustermahn, Rico, DenverDog, Bean6, Visser21, Luuser, and any others I may have missed, for a job well done.
