Para-troopers

Tonight i was playing on Spec-ops squad with Whusu on gulf of oman. We took a full black hawk and went for the hotel. we all know that well theres alot of AA, jets, etc. Its a challenge.Well i remember once on a server i was on a special forces squad where the squad leader was on a chopper about 400 or more feet high. He was a moble spawn point for us to get to our objectives faster and by the element of surprise. Well it worked again and its alot of fun. As i was falling i would drop C4 on unsuspcting MEC then BOOM. Once i was AT helping whusu take out UAV not camp UCB because we would always died but during my trip down to teh ground i hit a jet flying by with a rocket and another about to take off. They didnt not know what was going on. It was alot of fun and added to the whole enemy behind lines senario. The next time we played oman our objective was hotel and we continued to do so with the blackhawk. The jets never fly that high because turbulance or they stale in mid air. Also they think alot its a lost chopper just flying out of the game. They hardly bother you. This to me is a effective tactic using the element of surprise. It makes the battefield not only on ground for troops but in the air as well. adds a new 3rd dimension to the game in my opinion. If anyone else cares to agree and disagree to give opinions im all ears. I want to know what others think of this.

p.s. Beats the heck of BH raping.

That has a special name on TG servers:

Spawn Camping.

Hitting a jet with an AT rocket before it takes off from the UCB is against the rules on this server. Please see my sig, since you may not have read them yet. Flying jets are fair game, but hitting one while it's taking off will get you kicked. I'm sure you'd feel the same if a bunch of paratroopers landed on the carrier and shot down your planes before they took off.

Re: Para-troopers

Looks like he specifically said he wasn't camping UCB, just providing cover for a SpecOps hitting the UAV. That's not camping.

Simply *saying* that you weren't camping doesn't mean you weren't camping by the letter of the rules. I was in one of the jets he hit. I remember a rocket coming from the hills and hitting us when we were 1/4 of the way down the runway having just fired up the engines.

I do not see lifting off air assets in that list.

There is no grey area here. Don't do it again.

"UCB Camping" is merely what we call our rule. If you've read the rules, you'll know that it covers a bit more than just pitching a tent in a UCB to rape people... Admins can't tell how long you've been in the enemy UCB, so whether you're camping or just passing through, attack aircraft before they take off is a no-no.
