Stunts
So whilst we were waiting for things to warm up on the SM night lst night a few of us were messing around in aircraft. Blank and I had some good dogfights (taking it in turns to be impossible to shake off). I used to do a lot of flying in BFV and one of my favourite things to do were stunts. So looking around on Dalian Plant I found this interesting construction down in the south east of the mainland.
It's basically a set of orange metal square hoops, obviously purpose builst to have things fly through. Pretty good fun as well, through the squares of the two main struts that hold it up (west -> east is much easier as you don't have a tree on the exit), as well as down through the top, and other combinations. Just wondered if anyone else had found any other good stunts to try out?

Re: Stunts
Yeah, on Daqing. There is a building just to the west of the 4 huge oil tanks (center flag). It has doors that are open. I've flown the USMC attack helo through there repeatedly. It's a tight fit, but it works
I don't think planes can follow you either ![]() |

Re: Stunts
Well I'll state the obvious:
Kubra Dam, the tunnel through the dam and the gap where the flag is. I'm not a good pilot, but I've managed both of those. Zatar, flying under the various pipes along the rivers. Clean sweep, flying sideways between the comms towers and under the bridge.

Re: Stunts
The huge tanks on Daqing are a good stunt for the jets. You have to go sideways to get thru.
Oman has a bridge over the little river in the north. You can fly a fighter under that. Kubra has the best. It's a vertical gap in the dam that you have to fly thru sideways, Millenium Falcon-style. ![]() One of my favorite 'stunts' to pull off is a bombing run of a target directly in front of a barrier with a thin opening (like a couple of smoke stacks too close to pass between if you're flying level). Your bomb run will take you directly toward him - and in order to hit him, you will have to release at the last second, so you have to stay on target. In order to avoid the smoke stacks, you'll have to roll 90 degrees quickly and slide through the crack. Dark Viper and Santa are, of course, able to make a stunt out of landing the plane at CPs.

Re: Stunts
The bridges on Dragon Valley are fun to fly choppers under, a VERY tight fit though. It can probbably be done with a plane aswell.
Capping the lower Dam CP with a helicopter in the tunnel. Stalling, jumping out of the jet, then jumping back in when the jet gets back in control.

Re: Stunts
I was trying to crush and sniper last night with a chopper jumped out and jumped back into the chopper, but I ran into a building. You should be able to do it without dying.

Re: Stunts
I was gunning in an AH a few weeks ago on Dalian plant. The Pilot flew the chopper into the eastern door of the warehouse CP, through the inner door, and then out the western. This was not a stunt, another squad was attacking the CP at the time (I was in USMC, it was held by China).
I was flabbergasted. I don't think I've seen the pilot around since then. I bet the defending squad had a surprise! Last week Santa and I vertically capped a flag on Zataar. We were flying F-35s. Not as impressive, but still funny. ![]() |

Re: Stunts
I can do the little bridges (mainly thanks to so much time on the demo), but have yet to do them upside-down - I reckon that could be tricky. Forgot all about the hanger on Daqing... yes I will have to try that one in a jet, nice tip!.
Back in the demo I used to use the F-35 for pop-up attacks from behind the hotel - always nice to see an attack helo crap itself ![]()

a fun stunt to try is on Daquing. Go under the farthest north bridge near the chinese UCB. This one is especcialy difficult because of the valley. I found that going from north to south on this bridge was harder for some reason. The coolest thing ive ever done was completely by accident. My plane went too far up so it was spinning wildly out of control. I accidently pressed E so i frantically searched for my 9 key. After a few seconds of parachuting i noticed my plane was close enough for me to get back into, so i got back in and flew it to an altitude that i could control it at and survived. |
