Map Review: Al Khafji Docks

This is my first map review so any comments are welcome.
I'll start off with a pic of the minimap and a couple of things i highlighted in paint.

Most of the map is focused around the battle for control of the docks (duh) as there are three very closely positioned CP's there. USMC might have a hard time taking a flag at first because there are only three points of entry, highlighted with red circles, into the docks, Two ladders at the north end of the docks, a hole(yes there is only one) in the fence on the northwest side. and the main enterance into the docks. It seems that if MEC sets up properly they can easily defend these points. USMC's focus early in the game will be securing their arty, which is located near a neutral base that the MEC forces can reach first and quickly destroy, causing problems for USMC forces. But if US forces can hold the arty then eventually they will get into the docks. One thing that struck me about this map is the total lack of armor, in fact the only vehicles on the map are, 3 boats at the USMC main, 3 jeeps at the MEC main, 2 jeeps in the docks, and a jeep at the arty. Also worth mentioning is an interesing easter egg vehicle, the OMG dumptruck, named so because the letters on the front are OMG.

It serves no useful purpose. It's slow, can't turn well, and has no weapons, but is somehow almost invincible. It takes 4 AT shots to the front end and 2 to the wheels and somehow stays alive underwater:

There are 3 dock CP's, one is a fairly standard, karkand like, warehouse. Another is in a medium sized building with a maze of boxes inside it, and the last is on a boat that also has one of the ladders that allow enterance into the docks.

The dock is very crowded with boxes and drums and will make for some close firefights and the large amount of exploding barrels hidden around the area will surprise some unlucky grunt who get blown up by one. There are two obvious sniper positions. One is a water tower to the left of the main enterance and the other is the large crane assembly in the middle of the docks. Snipers will have a hard time getting to any of these areas unnoticed though, as they are easily spotted climbing up ladders. Here's a view from the water tower

Because of the compactness of the dock area artillery is basically useless unless the comander wants to kill half his team. UAV will be especially important though.
This map may or may not lend itself to our style of play and it would be best to give it a try to pass a final verdict on it but i like it. It's a fairly well thought out map that won't produce boring games and has enough polish to make it stand out from some of the other custom maps.I rate it an 8 out of 10.

Again this is my first ever map review so any comments about format or style would be appreciated, just keep em civil .

Re: Map Review: Al Khafji Docks

Much like the movie Jaws 2, the original is allways better than the sequal. The map feels like its just missing stuff. At the small outpost, there should be a mounted gun at the flag and the building there is made so you cant go inside.

At the gas station, there should be 2 larger buildings that snipers can climb and do damage at 2 bases. It really makes that gas station worthless because it now serves no purpose.

Steel Penguin, you said there are only 3 points of entries.....there is another. Remember on the original where you could crawl under the fence between the warehouse and the small outpost....its there, you just have to throw a nade at some wood to uncover it. I give it a 7 outta 10 and would play it.

Never played the original so i wouldn't know about that other fence. Wonder how long it would've taken me to find it? I searched the entire fence too.
