Smile What, exactly, qualifies as bunny hopping? POLL

Here's how I see it. We have 3 types of bunny-hopping:

1) Dolphin-diving

-This is obviously prohibited.

2) Repeated jumping

-Jumping constantly to avoid getting hit.

3) One isolated jump.

-Jumping once, without diving.

So what's okay and what's not okay?

Re: What, exactly, qualifies as bunny hopping? POLL

This is a question for the admins, not the general public.

A lot of people say that they are victimised for jumping a single time. I find this hard to believe. People in this community know the difference between a single jump and multiple. Admins will never kick on the first offence for bunny-hopping. There will always be a warning, followed by a kick for another offence after the warning.

To answer your question:

Bunny Hopping is jumping to avoid being hit while under fire or to make you harder to hit while reloading. Dolphin diving is basically the same thing, although you immediately go prone while in the air to improve your chance of hitting the enemy.

You should only ever jump to get over an obstacle. If you are jumping for any reason other than to negotiate terrain, you are breaking the rules.

Simple enough?

In the future, please refer back to the rules for any clarification. If the rule is still not understood, please ask an admin.

"Support game play in a near-simulation environment. Where the focus of play would not be solely on doing what it takes to win, but doing so utilizing real-world combat strategy and tactics rather than leveraging exploits provided to players by the design of the game engine, regardless of the level of advantage, if any, it gives over the opposing team." -- Tactical Gamer Primer
