Re: CHS problem with Anti-Air missles...
Use jeep 50cals. Forget the missles. Mounted 50cals give no audible warning to the chopper pilot untill he is in the red, and actualy hit when you point them at the chopper. Two mounted 50cals will tear a chopper to shreds in about same time it takes AA site to lock, loose lock to flares, relock and fire.

Re: CHS problem with Anti-Air missles...
I'll be honest. When I fly a jet, I actually like to see enemies in the SAM installations because they're a free kill. Nine times out of ten, they can't hit me by the time they're dead, and in the exceptional case they'll get one hit. I'm free to keep going back (getting slight repairs when I re-arm), and even if I actually did get killed it wouldn't take but 30 seconds before I'm back in the air again.
The SAMs are a losing proposition against jets. As anti-chopper weapons, I'd still take a .50 cal, and a WW2-era flak gun would be even better.

Re: CHS problem with Anti-Air missles...
Even if it wasn't Flak, my perfect AA would only be as powerful as what a Cobra can throw at you...
8-10 quick fire missles, non heat seaking before reload. Chain Gun. TV Guided Missle. I mean if it's fair for a chopper (and it is) it should be powerful enough for an AA station. Well a man can dream, right? ![]() Guess I should just suck it up and learn to fly. Lucky Shot |

Re: CHS problem with Anti-Air missles...
You don't even have to be anything more than a novice pilot to not get hit by SAM...
Patch did nothing to improve it. Several times I let missiles loose at a medium distance, hovering chopper and they veered off at the last second (no flares).
