Install game then patches in order?

Buddy of mine just bought a new computer and will be installing BF2 soon. After he installs the game does he have to install all of the patches in order or can he just download 1.03?

Re: Install game then patches in order?

I'm sure that 1.02 could be installed on a new installation. I think 1.03 may allow that as well. He can always try patching with 1.03 first. The patcher will exit if you have to install 1.02 first.
