Lightbulb Next TG scrim idea

Due to the great time I had with my Roughneck squad this weekend, I am curious. How would the same people perform in a TG scrim? Since this weekend's scrim is divided by in-house divisions, I have another idea. Squad leaders would recruit their squad beforehand and list themselves. Then two commanders would pick which squads they want on their side and fight against each other. Kinda like making fantasy sports teams.

Re: Next TG scrim idea

New ideas are always good. But I think it would be best if it was an in-house scrim.

Re: Next TG scrim idea

edit *Here is another idea since I cant read right*. If you have a bunch of people who can play a scrim and have the SL's pick one person at a time like in kickball. Opfor 1st squad pick one person, US 1st squad pick one person, Opfor 2nd squad pick one person and so on down the line till you fill all squads and end up with a full team.

Another one could be non-SM's vs SM's, one more for you have 62 people who can play and have everyone join at the same time and go from scratch with no set squads and see what happens on the fly. Not sure if they would work but it would be interesting non the less.

Re: Next TG scrim idea

Do not think that was BaneII’s idea (but I could have read wrong )
Think he meant that whole squads could signup to the scrim. Not like today when individuals join up, but a squadleader joins with pre selected team members.

Re: Next TG scrim idea

I like it that we are thinking about new ideas, but scrims are hard enough to roster and organise without things like team picking factored in.

The CO for each map should choose the roster. If a bunch of guys want to play together, they should PM him before the roster is written.

In my opinion.

I dont think it would be too hard and I would be willing to help out on the planning. If we had a tread like the scrim next weekend we could take all the names and put them in a list. Have the people who want to be SL pick from those names over TS and come up with the roster.

I think we should try that sometime, it's an interesting idea.

I can't wait to be the guy standing there at the end, with both teams saying "you go ahead and take icky".

I take you all the time Icky. Usually not by choice, it's usually because you get in on an opening in my squad

j/k, would have you on my squad anytime...I needed a target for the enemy

If we do it we would have to keep that private so Icky doesn't get upset.

Re: Next TG scrim idea

Please note that this is just an idea for the future, not this weekend's game. I dont know how you usually do scrims. Ive only seen the TOG and Alliance vs 7th done. I thought a draft would be interesting.
