AA tourney among members only...

Looking at the TG calender, BF2 seems to hog up all the days, Bastards,lol (joking)...

But we had a pretty good TG turn out Sunday night, and I've been reading the admin instructions for using the server in tournament mode...

THIS IS NOT CERTAIN OR SET, JUST PUTTING OUT IDEA FOR FEEDBACK FIRST...

I say we form two Squads, for example (and these are just examples... we will vote on the names), Magnum's Maggots and Vulcan's Virgins (lol, just kidding again)...

Each squad will have there own password in tourney mode... so on Sunday night your team joins the proper TS sub-channel, then the game... (when you join in tourney mode it will ask what team your on and the password... then each Sunday night, depending on participation, we'll have a one map, 7 round tourney, (still keeps and records honor, but more stats are displayed in a in of contest file)

Then after 4 games (each Sunday, so one month), we can declare the Squad winner, "MAGNUM"S MAGGETS!"... then reshuffle... you'll remain with your squad for four games/one month... miss a Sunday... oh well, then the war/tourney goes on...etc ect

another idea:
a 7 game round is usually about an hour, to keep it fair we may have to play 2 rounds and switch teams from defense to offense, and visa versa...

Feedback welcomed and encouraged... even if you can't be there EVERY Sunday, you can still be assigned a team... and show up when able... there will always be one or two that can't make it...even me if I get a call out.

WHOA! watch the dirty slander!

It's a sound idea. I am thinking in a larger sense that, like in bf2 members have formed squads, we should do the same. I prefer any squad i start or that i'm involved in, is standing and formed up in TC. I'd like to have that squad in CS and AA.

Great idea! I'd be able to participate in the CS squad...but I think the 42nd are going to field an AA squad. We are discussing it now.

OK... to add to it with the new input and ideas...

What say 2 teams of 10 to 12 members...
Each team can select a captain, he (or she) will be responsible for creating there own team, organizing there team to the proper roles and assignments in AA, training there team...

Then every Sunday Evening, the tourney goes... 1 map, 2 rounds, once on offense, once on defense... best of four win the match...I, personally would like to play on someones team, but as the organizer and admin of the AA server/tourny... I shouldn't be the capt... just a player... if thats not fair... say so, and I'll keep me as a "spectator" and administrator of justice... oh sorry, I mean fairness. lol

I figured 2 teams of 12 might be possible, if more interest then 24 players, then we can make a third team and I'll schedule an elimination series... or something..

Of course...the server will still be open to use by anyone and temp locked when we have a large number of TG gamers on, just like now... this would just be a once a week inter-group contest.

Right now, I'd just like to have a night a week when we can all meet up, and take over the server, so that we don't just have 2-5 of us playing each night.

I'll be there, havent played AAO in a while though and gotta d/l the new version. Been waiting for a server that actually uses TS and since the TG server is always empty...I wonder if I should pull my 100 honor account out of the closet or keep building up my 25 honor one, hmmm.

Empty?! Naawwww. Not anymore. We've got ourselves an Honor server now, and it's been getting a ton of traffic whenever I've checked it. We're having a bit of an AA renaissance as a result!
