What do I need to play?

I have the latest edition of the game. I did the basic training, what else do I need to play on the TG server?
Also, how long does it take to connect to a server, because I waited like 10 minutes after entering the TG IP and nothing happened.

CAn anyone help me?

You may need to update punkbuster. Go to your AA/system/pb folder and run the pbweb file to update it. It does update automatically when you join a game, but this way seems a bit faster to me.

Basic Training should be enough to get you on the server most of the time. A few maps require honor 15 and completion of SF training. But what you'll see is a screen indicating what map is loading then a 3d scenic view while punkbuster authorizes you. If you aren't qualified to play you'll be kicked after punkbuster authorizes you.

Try connecting again, last night 2 Tier 1 ISPs had a screwup which broke the Internet for some people.

Yeah, I had trouble connecting to the TG server last night, but was finally able to get in late.

Besides joining TG's AA server, I would say joining the America's Army channel on TG's Teamspeak server is a good idea. There are subchannels for each of the teams on a given map.

Last night I was on for a bit and played several rounds with Sloppy Joe. Sloppy gave me a lot of great tips and showed me the ropes. If you see him in the AA channel in TS, be sure to join his team.

Anybody know which ports AA uses?? Because I can't even login to my account so I am certain that this is once again a case of my schools network blocking ports.

Bah. If a monkey like me can do it, anyone can.

The training ensures everyone starts their online play at the same level of familiarity, and it all happens offline so all the basic questions get answered before you even set virtual foot on a server. Think of it as a series of instructional clinics built right into the game.

Well, I figured out what I need to play, and I can't pass it. I need the SF training that involves getting in the truck, and not being detected. Anyway, CSS works again, and I will play that all the time like I have in phe past. Sorry AA guys, CSS is where I belong.
