AA server

Well we ran a tournament mode game tonight and now it seems the server doesn't wanna give it up. It was great games and all but it needs to end!

I can only conclude that this can be done through another means only, as i now have no admin commands in it.

If someone can please restart it, the password is set to tacticagamer

Re: AA server

the in game software only allows for 4 admins I believe,,, currently we have...

Apophis, of course
Myself (Magnum)
and Vulcan

I have asked Apophis to remove the Recon map, per many request, and to take the SF exclusive maps out of rotation for a few weeks till everyone gets SF abled...

If there is one more that is responsible, and plays AA enough to be a player admin, speak up and we'll see what Apophis thinks... since he makes the final decisions...

After this hurricane passes, I'll be back online more often... till then...c ya

Re: AA server

I'd like to fill in the position. Send apophis good words about me and I'll give everyone a free toaster.

The 4 admin max thing does sound wierd to me. In the old days, you just used a separate admin password to log into the server as admin. We should have a healthy number of admins to keep the server thriving. And it seems a lot of pubbers like the map changing instead of playing the same map over and over.

Re: AA server

What is being used that limits 4 admins?

If I remeber correctly AAO allowed for unlimited player admins and one password for a main admin. When the player admins were in game they could change maps, weapons, kick, move players around the teams. etc. The super admin logon was a non-player that had full control. I guess this has changed with 2.5?

FYI, TG policy is that only Supporting Members may become admins.

Too bad because I am sure you would make a wonderful admin Sloppy.

Has Sloppy already said that he won't become a Supporting Member? It might be too bad in this particular case, but, if you think about it, it's a good policy overall.

I agree with the policy completely, seems to make plenty of sense. I was just saying that it seems like he would make a good admin, too bad he is not a supporting member. That's all.
