Can not log on to a socket?

what does this mean? it appears when i try and log in. it also stops me from loging in. so i can't play

It means that that particular socket (which you can think of as one of 65,000+ "doorways" out of your computer) is probably being used by some other process, which is hosing up the works.

happens to me when my firewall blocked it(for the first time)
