server problems?

sunday 30th october USA time (its monday 4am in uk) i've had really bad connection which is very unusual. I keep loosing connection and finding it hard to connect.

Is anyone else having problems? Or is it just me or is it something with the US - UK atlantic connection??

Not just you. During Karkand, pings were varying for me between 50-800. I would zoom in on my support gun and it would zoom, unzoom then zoom. Couldn't at times stop from oversteering on the gun. Heard others say the same thing.

By the way, heck of a job on Daqing tonight man.

Was that to me? I think I only joined that map at the end.

^^^^ That was original reply, just realised that I joined on Karkand, Daqing I CO'd for USMC lol, was the longest I stayed in the server. Will make a post in reports for Daqing cos the squads deserve props, made my job easy.

The same happened to me (Oct 30. Karkand). I was in Lucky's squad, when I noticed I couldn't even jump over a wall anymore due to immense lag and jumping of the screen. I managed to pull up the scoreboard and noticed my ping was 937, which is a bit high, I must say.

I ended up getting the "There is a problem with your connection." message, and I decided to disconnect and reconnect. Turned out I never was able to get back onto the TG server, it would either kick me when I was Verifying Client Data or immediately crash to desktop as soon as I clicked 'join game'. I had to give up after a couple tries, and after that, found I couldn't even access TG's webiste either.

I just managed to load up TG's website just now, about five hours later, and I’m assuming I’ll be able to get on the server again. Its really weird – it had seemed at the time that I was the only one with the problem, since the server quickly filled up and stayed there…

Well, its the Asia - US connection for me, so understandably I got the worst of it, the problem did lie with the connection - wonder if the aussies had the same problem.. I remember seeing Bommando on the map before.

Yea, like half the server had 700+ pings for a bit there on Karkand. Then it calmed down after a minute or two.. I first noticed it when I was trying to climb over a warehouse on Karkand and ended up falling off because of the lag. Then a minor hiccup about 10 minutes later. Half of the squad I was in (JMJ's, w/ Bommando) had 300+ pings that time but it didn't seem to be effecting as many people on the server. I quit after Karkand to play AA and didn't have any problems there..

I had 700lag during Karkand which made it the hardest to attack. My sqaud (seppy mainly =x) kept yelling at me to stay alive, but everytime I jumped it looked like I didn't jump then a split second later I was on the ground. I don't think it's that Asia - US connection, I think someone forgot to feed the gerbils on their treadmill that are keeping this server up. =P

I noticed more than half of the players in the server, including myself, were over 700 ping. I'd say something happened to a common router many of us go through or something within The Planet's network went goofy.
