Nov 3 - Utility 7 - "The Suck Squad " - Dalian, Sharqi, FuShe , Wake Island

I just realized I am not 100% if those were Sharqi and Fushe, one was the one with the TV Station and the other is the long valley that runs East West.

Dalian Plant - After an early start mishap we made our way to the maintenance building and easily took it while the rest of our team hit some other points. Things are going smoothly, our CO didn't have a mic and was just kind of randomly doing things but we were winning. Then I noticed the South Docks were undefended, split my squad in half to defend both places. CO gives me the order to attack the main entrance we had just lost and I am wondering if anyone is going to be protecting these points we are holding since our entire team but us is north of the main entrance. It should also noted we were getting hit from the Reactor towers continously and only through EXCELLENT teamwork of everyone in my squad did we hold both points. I text the CO asking for clarification and his response "7 you suck".

So this started my psuedo mutiny of the CO, at one point he wanted us to hold our two points and attack the main entrance all the while they were hitting our points. No honestly if I was good enough to hit a point that half of the enemy team is at, while defending two points under attack I would just go ahead and sick the carrier while I was at it and jump up into the air with my pistol and kill the enemy jets. I ignored that order, if it had been someone I recongized giving the order I would have complied knowing it was without good reason. Every order I had was to attack a point, the few times I actually complied and tried to attack we lost one of the two points we were defending. I tried to chat with the CO to tell him defense was unimportant, his response "7 you guys suck". So we held our two points, manned the AA and 50cals, took out several blackhawks and cobras. Did not allow the cobra to life off from the reactor area and overall held the entire south. Probably the best squad I have ever SLed and I don't think we ever got those supplies I kept requesting. It seems this CO wanted to play the whack a mole attack. We won the game but I am positive our holding of the south contributed much to the victory.

And so Squad 7 "Suck" was born.

Next was the TV Station map. Started off with a CO, again no mic but at least he would give me supplies. Took the city entrance, took the survelliance post and held my men there. Kept bringing up the armor from the UCBs, supporting the alleyway and construction site. Again the CO gave more orders to move into the center, I directed my men to not move but throw fire into the center. We were under attack most of the game, either heavily engaged at the post or snipers taking the city. Thankfully neither fell for more than a minute or two. We swept the CPs and won the game. Again I congratulate our squad on their skill and for being in the "suck" squad.

Next was the long East West valley. Suddenly I see who our CO is and about cry out in happiness, I hear someone in my ear who is not in my squad, that made me happy we had a CO who was talking, and then I realize its a female voice, SASSY! By this time my heavy armor squad had moved into position around the USMCs only non ucb point, holding them back while we create heavy bleed. Again we keep bringing up the armor from the UCBs holding them back. I chat with Sassy for a bit while killing snipers in her area and we end up winning by a huge margin.

I was going to log out at this point but I see wake island is next and I figure Sassy will CO and we (chinese) will have a chance. So I log in and gather my excellent squad and move out to defend the beach when I realize Sassy is on the other team! And our CO has no mic! Oh well. Early in the game we are pushed to one flag, the air field, when our entire team makes an herioc push. My squad pushes the beach and takes it while they stream from the southern point it becomes a death zone for the next 15 minutes while other squads push north and take the northern points. At this point the USMC has one flag on the island and I realize we are in the lead by 2 points, I am surprised to say the least. The rest of the team comes down and we wade through the bodies to capture the southern point. But this time the USMC has realized we have no one to the north so they capture the point there and the entire team shifts north, we even get the order to move out. I tell the CO I am defending the South. So I have my men man the AA and 50 cals and we proceed to harass enemy air and then they start coming in with BHs and boats. I have no idea how many we killed coming in boats or SWIMMING! (Interesting side note, while taking the beach we had one bunny hopper who then decided the best way was to bunny hop into the water, the poor guy must have never realized you cant bunny in the water...) Thank God whenever we needed him Darkviper took out any air hitting us and we went on to win that game by a commanding margin.

All in all the Utility7 I had last night was among the BEST I have ever had the pleasure of COing, to all of you in the "suck" squad you are more than welcome in my squad whenever you want!

That Wake game was substantial proof that the Chinese team CAN dominate the map. They just need to have Dark Viper and Kilrogg in the air.

I enjoyed the air show.

The Utility 7 squad continued on and Gunrack took over as the SL. We absolutely killed the USMC side on Karkand. It was such a beating that I felt mean. I am beginning to think that the MEC side has a genuine advantage on Karkand if they play it right.

Haha yeah, comedy commanders are fun!

I was only on Utility 7 for most of Dalian Plant until removed for Supporting Member.

I was designated spotter, sat on top of roofs shouting out incomming targets, allowing the guys inside and the apcs to get positioned, then picking them off after they move past me showing me there back! Then of course i'd fall off the roof (oops - ta for the revives). It was some of the best defense of that warehouse flag i've seen, multiple apcs/tanks+infantry were fought off, I can't remember the flag going white once.

Hopefully I can stay with your squad longer next time Azreal, it was some good SLing, very calm and clear orders, keeping on top of the situation making the squads job easy even though the commander left us on a island while wanting us to take over the world.

Re: Nov 3 - Utility 7 - "The Suck Squad " - Dalian, Sharqi, FuShe , Wake Island

I enjoyed playing in your squad Azreal on Wake. Very good communication. "How's it going over there guys?" "Seeing anything?" "Okay, I'll hold here at the beach, you guys stay at the South Base. Let me know if anything is going on". And so on. Like Preston said, very calm and clear orders, even when under duress.

I took over your squad, Azreal, on Karkand. We were the sole squad on defense duty as MEC on the east side of Karkand, and we only lost one flag once, the cement factory, the entire round. With the help of a couple other very attentive squads, we got it back fairly quickly, and never gave up another flag on the east side. icky was great at spec ops, as he kept the north bridge down, and I believe kept the land bridge c4'd, while taking pot shots here and there at the occasional enemy. When we first started the round, icky was a different class and I needed a spec ops, like bad. icky played a great spec ops for me before on Sharqi a couple nights ago, so rather than have him suicide spawn, I had him do a suicide charge into the enemy near the Square flag. He did that pretty well, too.

Anyway, great fun on Wake, Azreal, and a great job to my squad (Kilrogg, Frozen Reverie, boot.exe, Cymba, & icky) on Karkand.

Ya, that was great. I was all eager to run in like a madman with my shotgun and take down a couple of guys. I sprinted up the stairs and saw a sniper down the ramp, but obviously my shotgun was useless, so I switched to grenades. Then I noticed a tank on my left and an APC on my right. Bullets started flying, I tried to get my grenade off, and jusb put a bullet in my head.

FuShe Pass with a fun map for my sqaud. We took the NE flag and held it the rest of the game despite what they threw at us. I'm not a very defensive person, but with the help of Sassy we took on a lot. I believe the biggest we had was Two APCs, an AA, and a sqaud following behind them and the armor got taken out immediately. Was an excellent sqaud.

Wake was a dissappointment kinda. My sqaud lost a flag at the beginning in the north and we never got to retake it back. Other then that..the best part of the map was when I sent my entire sqaud to swim from the South side to the North side... 10 ft from the beach and we get artyed and there were no enemies at that base too.

Karkand was great also. The 5 flag bleed also helds out the MEC a lot. Maybe too much. My sqaud was on the west side and we seemed to be able to hold our own for most of the time. We stretched out from the bridge flag and that was probably one of the first time I have seen the brdige flag not become much of an arty bait because we were all offensive and not defensive. My sqaud took the S half while 2-3 other sqauds hit up on the west towards the suburbs. With Dark Viper's help we took a couple flags here and there and ended up best sqaud. Actually..i think my sqaud was best sqaud on all three of these maps...but don't quote me on that.

Good maps.

YES! i joined exactly at this moment...four members of the squad stayed at the maintenance building and me and one other fellow headed to the south docks to defend. it's unbelievable looking back on it now...there was one US squad coming across the land bridge from the Reactor Towers, one squad SWAM across further west, one squad tried to come from the carrier in a Blackhawk, and of course the attack chopper was peppering the south docks from a distance. i'm really surprised we held as long as we did. my apologies to Preston; i didn't know you were "spotting", i just thought you had the gift of the gab! it wasn't until after we lost the South Docks that i realized you were calling out threats...i guess my recommendation is to pull up the squad list and it will show who's in what vehicles, so you can grab your squadmates attention better if you know who's driving the tank, etc., and making sure you have their undivided attention before saying "there's a squad to your southwest!" and not realizing you're talking to me...

we finally lost the south docks and reformed at the maintenance building, but then my computer crashed and i had obligations around the house so...psshaw!! and that only 10 minutes after joining the game...

Re: Nov 3 - Utility 7 - "The Suck Squad " - Dalian, Sharqi, FuShe , Wake Island

Last night marked my first TG rounds: I joined Wake in action, just in time to help take and hold the south base, and stuck through Karkand and Daqing.

Karkand was a blast. Gunrack asked me to go AT so I just picked a nice spot near the landbridge and popped the APCs trying to come across. At one point our squad on the east and those on the west completely rejected a very well organized attack including a lead M1A1 and 2 APCs with multiple squads on foot.

On Daqing we held the farthest point East, and I ended up gunning in the helo with FrozenReverie in the pilot seat. GREAT flying, by the way -- it's nice to have a pilot that knows how to move horizontally to let the gunner actually do some work. We beat back all attacks on the base, including at least one where the inbound team managed to take out our team on foot. Frozen and I just circled and hit them until our team could come back to recap and mop up.

Thanks for a great couple rounds to kick off my TG experience.

Re: Nov 3 - Utility 7 - "The Suck Squad " - Dalian, Sharqi, FuShe , Wake Island

Glad I didn't mess up your first TG experience, boot. You did a great job both rounds, Karkand and Daqing, the first as AT and the second as co-pilot with Frozen Reverie. On Karkand, you were one of my last lines of defense on the east side, especially when we had those 3 armor pieces trying to roll right through. You really helped out there.

On Daqing, we had taken the East Oilfield at the outset, and I had us go on defense there (we had no CO at the time). I figured it was an important flag, esp. with the extra gunship spawning there. I even waited for at least 5 min. for the Gunship squad to take over the chopper (there were only 2 people in the Gunship squad, Cymba & someone else), I even typed in text chat that there was an extra one, but they seemed content with one.

Anyway, after that waiting, I had you guys take it over and support other squads attacking other flags, then fall back when things got hot at the East Oilfield. There were 4 of us total in my squad, so the 2 of us on the ground, myself & Grim, stayed at the East Oilfield. Grunt70 later joined my squad, but that was near the end of the round. All I have to say is this: you & Frozen saved our flag too many times to mention. Everytime it got hot, I pulled you guys back, then boom, you'd wipe out most of the enemy on the ground, which give us 2 ground pounders time to respawn and mop up the ones you couldn't see. It sure was nice having gunship support right away whenever I needed it; I don't think I've had that much (& that quick) gunship support in a long time. I felt special.

Kudos to Frozen Reverie, [Blue]Grim, Boot.exe, & later, Grunt70, for continuing the winning tradition of Azreal's Utility 7 Squad on Daqing.
