Daqing late 11/10

Want to thank everyone who was apart of my artillery magnent on Daqing tonight. We had four Leeth members (Seppy, myself, Schemer, Sid) and two regulars (ShakeyJake and ALapo) and since we had no commander, we decided to take the Gas Station and hold it. Props also to cpl## for helping us out for a bit and leaving to make room for a Leeth member. Also props to jeppy for keeping the skys clear only at the beginning of the match.. =x

We hopped in the Roflcopter and took the Gas station with a full sqaud just arriving to the Gas station flag. I tubed the .50 cal in the air and then again on the ground and the flag was clear. We set up a defense and from then on after every 3 minutes was an arty strike on our position. Consistent action at the flag the WHOLE entire map. Whenever it seemed like we were free, arty hit and then an armor column and a few buggies come rushing in. Seppy and I did get to run out and cap a few flags alone when we had the chance leaving 4 well placed defenders against a good defense. 15 minutes into the match and a chopper kept showing up. We got him down most the time, but he was annoying. We also had a sniper for a good 15-30 minute sniping our position (I found him and knifed and tea bagged him when I finally got the chance). My sqaud kept losing members to the USMC and then they prompty came back to my sqaud, but I say that happened like 3-4 times.

During the last 20 minutes or so, we had two choppers continously harassing us, plus the arty, plus the armor. I believe we only lost that flag maybe twice. It was amazing. We did have some unneeded help from Sqaud 2 though so props to them. Everyone played excellent and the tickets came down to the wire (we bled them forever, but they caught up in mere seconds it seemed like). The USMC finally caught up and passed us in the last minute of the round and won by a mere 20 points. Was extremely fun and was a sad thing that we lost 10+ people to the Tact mod for that round...was extremely well played on Chinese side w/o a commander.

Good job sqaud! If there was an arty bait ribbon...I would nominate you all.

Great game, nonstop action (although 50% of it was dodging arty) . I had a blast and am looking forward to playing with the 1337th again. Great team work.

Re: Daqing late 11/10

That was pretty intense - I think I spent most of the battle in the fetal position at the back of the shed wimpering as the arty rained down.

I also got bumped to the other side right in mid-battle. I'm sure this has been discussed, but there has to be a happier medium than simply throwing a player to the enemy's side right mid battle. I mean, how lousy is it to be in a great squad in intense action during a close fought round, only to be thrown over to the other side without warning. This isn't a pubbie where it doesn't really matter, at least to me. Seems as if the server needs to be a little more flexible in this regard given that TG is based on teamwork. I understand the teams need to be balanced, especially when you have as many really good players as TG does, but come one, you can't throw a player to the other side mid game when they've been in the round from the beginning and with the same squad too.

Yeah the same thing happened to me. We had enemy moving into the gas station and I'm running for our tank and next thing I know I'm on the other team. It's tolerable at times but extremely annoying when you've got a good squad going.

Yeah, I was trying to keep those choppers off of you, but those things are hard to keep down. Seems like as soon as I shot one down and went back to reload it'd be there again.

Oh yeah and sorry for the whole "calling the station the shed" thing at the beginning of the match. Sorry for GP203'ing Dev and somebody else in the jeep. I fired the shot at the guy and here you come to run him over when the nade is mid-air.
