Thumbs up Bane's squad 11/18

Gotta recognize my squad tonite for their great performance. We ran like a well oiled machine. Through Wake, Dalian, Sharqi, Karkland, and Mashtuur, we took top squad on OpFor except for once. Good games, fellas.

Oh, and anybody else who cycled through with us.

Great job SLing Bane. The squad atmosphere, as usual, was always relaxed and fun, yet very effective, as evidenced by our squad getting top squad all but once. Plus, our squad under your leadership helped the OpFor team win all but one of the rounds I played with you, and the one that we lost was by a very small margin (Karkand: USMC 8-0). Shoot, half the time I didn't even care about all that 'cause you and Douglas had me cracking up. Too much fun. Good games.

Agreed, great rounds. It was really cool to see a team actually win a few rounds even though the opposing team had total air superiority. Definately a fun time. Well led, Bane!

More props for the Saturday nite games. Top honors on Karkland, Daqing, Wake, Zatar, and Abu. The best part was the knife fights on Abu. Nothing but chewing bubblegum and kicking butt. And we were all outta bubblegum. Thanks fellas!

yes, props to bane[eye][eye] for being a great SL as always. we raided a pubbie later on and had quite a large turnout. and INDEED, the "old tyme fisticuffs" on Abu Dhabi were great. we were defending the Seemint Phaktory and the squad attacking us just kept getting mowed down. i guess we were pretty slow to realize they just had knives and paddles out, heh. but eventually we caught on and we charged headlong into them with blades and defribbs a-blazin'. it was quite a scene to see as many as 12 guys in a small area jabbing at each other with the cold steel. it was nothing but laughter on VOIP for a solid 5 minutes...

here's the screenshot some of you were asking to see...

Hmmmm. Now I'm wondering exactly who was asking to see it.

At some point some guy was shooting at us with a pistol, so I ran up and paddled him to death. That was the highlight of my night.

That was a great squad, thanks guys.

oh, i guess i could keep you guessing but it really wasn't as dramatic as you'd expect. BANEII's squad was still laughing about the CQB shenanigans through much of the next map (Dragon Valley) and i mentioned i was able to pull one screenshot of the ordeal and it was pretty much a unanimous "you gotta post it!". on a side note, i too was knifed and paddled multiple times during the brawl, oh geez...

i'm finally remembering to get more screenshots in game, now if only i can also remember to paste them in PAINT before i do something stupid like reboot my computer...

Yeah that was Gixxers doing on Abu. That map was just ridiculous..We all got frustrated because you couldn't hardly move with out getting into knock down fire fights. I think that map needs to go it's so compact you can't even give/get any orders. So Gixxer, Magoo, and a few of the other guys started the knife/shock paddle technique. It was pretty funny watching you guys dip and jump around. Me on the other hand was just trying stay alive longer than a couple seconds...FPS Douglas was all over me everywhere I turned. I'd shoot first but I'd die first well done FPS Douglas. Of course killing me is no big feat, but gotta tip my hat to the victors. Oh by the way I think Douglas just killed me again....LOL

You know that when you hit print screen it saves the screenshot in My Documents/Battlefield 2, right?

I actually like Abu Dhabi because of the knock down fire fights, plus it has no jet bombers or gunships. Anyway, like Coridon said, we were slow to realize you guys were just charging with knives and shock paddles. Once we realized it, it was on. Well, more off on my part, since I got shock paddled at least 4 times by Dark Viper. Although, I did knife him a couple of times, which made me feel a little better. btw, I didn't realize it at first, but those shock paddles have a longer range than the knives. Every time I tried to knife the medics straight on, they almost always got the best of me with the better range of the shock paddles. Lesson: don't charge head on with your knife at a medic who has his shock paddles out.

A couple of highlights in those knife fights was watching Beef pull out his shock paddles and shock the guy that was trying to shoot his pistol at him. At one point, I thought Beef was going to go down, but then, boom, he pulled off a clutch shock. I just couldn't stop laughing after that. The other was actually getting one of my other favorite players, Marstein, into a knife fight with me. I think Marstein was the lone holdout in the knife fights, but then he saw me waving my knife and probably thought, what the heck, it's just Gunrack.

Great games, and great job SLing Bane. Always fun on your squad.
