The TPF scrim today

It was a blast guys, very well played by all! It was, as some know our first match anytime under the -TPF- tag and we enjoyed it very much. We plan on practicing and playing again for sure!

Re: TPF Scrimmage AAR

Apologies for the AT mine teamkills. I'm starting to feel that they are more of a liability than a good defensive measure, mostly because the 3D map icon over some or all of them tends to disappear for friendlies. I probably had 2 or 3 times more AT mine teamkills than enemy kills. Didn't seem to be worth it.

Only made the final round, but it was very very fun.

Hats off to TPF by the way - many excellent firefights, going back and forth at the Hotel and Warehouse CPs, overall awesome time.

Re: TPF Scrimmage AAR

Thanks for the game.

We took a long time to get to grips with Mashtuur and when we did the tickets had nearly gone. :'(
I was on hotel defence and when we eventually threw caution to the wind and pushed for the mosque we got a lot more joy with the bleed.
It was easier for us to stop the bleed on Sharqi and it was real close when I had to leave. We took the TV station for a short while, then lost it in a flash.

At that point I had to drop off, so I hope we can this again sometime soon.

BTW, AFAIK my squad stuck to TG rules.

Great games. It definately got pretty hairy on Mashstuur at the end, and on Sharqi, we were down to one CP at one point.

Re: TPF Scrimmage AAR

Sharqi was awesome. They made some hard assaults on the TV station, they were all over that flag. I was in Bommando's squad which moved in with Deveran's squad to take it back. It was crazy inside the building, we hit the stairs second and there were bodies everywhere. At one point, I swear to god, there was no time to reload so I was down to my knife and it ran out of ammo.

The rest of our time was spent at the Hotel. Down there their squads were fast. They fell back and regrouped rapidly which allowed them to shoot up the players capping the flag pretty effectively. We learned quickly to be prepared for a counter attack.

They were great games and TPF were great guys to play with and thanks to Bommando for the organizing.

Re: TPF Scrimmage AAR

Hey Guys;

That was my first time commanding a scrim round; I was so nervous beforehand. But you guys all pulled through like champs, even through my 3 or 4 disconnects (argh!) and kudos to Bom for stepping into the breach during one of my lengthier disconnects.

There were a few times where the TV Station flag dropped to neutral, or even turned MEC, before it was covered with some many blue, green and white dots as to make my eyes hurt. There were some flags with so much activity on them that I needed to go to 3x zoom just to see what colour the flag was.

I will submitting nominations based on your outstanding performances. You guys are the best of the best!

For any interested parties, I would be very interested in reading a what worked, what didn't work in the Sharqi thread so that I can learn from everyone's experience and bring that knowledge to bear the next time I'm in the Chair.

Dice.
