Battlefield 2 / Special Forces Servers Upgraded

As of late this morning, all Tactical Gamer Battlefield 2 servers have been upgraded with the new patch. At this point in time, the Special Forces server is 100% operational with the appropriate TG plugins enabled. After installing Special Forces, be sure to apply the new 1.12 patch in order to be able to play on our SF and normal BF2 Servers.

The current server configuration is as follows:

Battlefield 2 Server #1 - Battlefield 2 - 70.86.19.218
Battlefield 2 Server #2 - Special Forces - 67.19.26.150
Battlefield 2 Private Server - Battlefield 2 - 70.84.146.202

The private server currently has the ability for us to easily switch back and forth between plain vanilla Battlefield 2 and the Special Forces expansion. So private events are available with either variety of the game and can be switched at a moments notice.

As soon as the client patch is available, we will have it in our downloads section for our Supporting Members.

I also updated the initial thread to note that you MUST install the 1.12 patch in order to be able to play on any of our servers.

Now that is better. I was confused there for a moment looking at all the red servers.

The 1.12 patch is for vanilla BF2 users i think.

The 1.12 patch is for BOTH. If you do NOT have SF installed just install the 1.12 patch and you should be able to connect to the TG #1 server.

If you DO have SF, make sure you install it BEFORE installing the 1.12 patch or you will have to install the patch a second time. Install SF and THEN install the 1.12 patch.

After installing the 1.12 patch I connected to the #2 SF server no problem.

oic. The out-of-sequence 1.03 -> 1.12 threw me off.

Since they upgraded the servers to v1.12, you need this patch even if you didn't buy the expansion pack (BF2SF) yet. Since I'm new, I am not allowed to post URL's to other sites, so copy and paste this address into your URL bar and it should work.

Seems I was banned... I was trying to join Tactical Gamer #1 and it said I couldn't join because it was full... and then it said I couldn't join because I was kicked or by popular vote.

I was not on at all that day and I've never teamkilled on that server as I just started going to it...

Hi Point129, welcome to TG!

We run a custom script on #1 that always keeps 2 spots open so that supporting members can join. So, if the server browser said that the server was at 62/64, then you would be immediately kicked as you tried to join. Unfortunately, BF2 is kinda silly and doesn't let us change the message

Wait for the server to be less full and give it a try again. If you still can't get in, try contacting an admin.
