But as they say, If you've ever tasted real vanilla beans you'll see that it's not plain at all!

Re: What Does "Vanilla" Mean?

Alton Brown's Good Eats had a great episode on vanilla. It's from an orchid that can only be harvested once a year.

Re: What Does "Vanilla" Mean?

Ever had Andes mints? Chocolate with a little mint in the center. Not strong mint, but enough that you know it's there. BTW, if you mean Junior Mints, then i agree. Blech.

Re: What Does "Vanilla" Mean?

Vanilla is plain? Someone needs to examine their taste buds.

Yet another misused English saying.

Along with "slow children at play"

Re: What Does "Vanilla" Mean?

I like Andes mints.

Alton Brown had an episode on avocados last week and he made avocado ice cream. Sounded like it might be interesting to try. (He also made avocado cake frosting.)

Re: What Does "Vanilla" Mean?

How did this thread go from a quick answer to the meaning of "vanilla" as it applies to BF2 to a Good Eats episode about avocados?
