It looks good but the big question is if it will have the same kind of tactical game play the first game had. Pretty graphics will only take a game so far.

Rainbow six:3 had pretty graphics. Did not last too long around here.

RvS had a lot of problems other than a lack of good game play. The mapping was off to a slow start since it took a lot of time to make a good map. There were plenty of bugs that UbiSoft just couldn't fix with each patch. It never got much modding support. To this day, the official SDK was never released.

GR never had an SDK but it did have a lot of good modding tools and built-in mod support since the first expansion. If GR:AW wants the same kind of success on the PC, it'll need good mod support and long lasting game play. The original GR made it easy to create missions but hard to create maps. This is where RvS did better. It used a popular map making tool and now has hundreds of maps where GR has a handful. Still, GR was better because those missions on the same old maps had very different objectives.

On the other hand, OFP is a great game but horrible graphics. Even the mods don't compare to what's out there now. The game play is great and allows for just about anything. It's not very popular around here though. It has a strong cult following but none of the glory GR got.

GR:AW has a lot to live up to. It's got to balance graphics and game play to get the most success with PC gamers.
