MY NEW MAP(I hope)
ok so I started a new map using SF statics to see how they handle
its essentially the new and improved carrier half sunk in the middle of the ocean with (mec) submarines surrounding it Ive been tying to play it ingame to see how it flows but it crashes at the JOIN GAME screeb, Ill have to troubleshoot for a while, but its going to be sweeet, I hope Ill get sme screenies up when I can play it in game

Sounds like a cool map, but if I was on an MEC submarine and the aircraft carrier was half sunk, I'd just stick around until it's all sunk. I mean, why bothing running around on it? That said, it sounds awesome. Aside from the crashing. Which sounds bad.

remake your control/spawn/object spawner points and reassign the teams, all my maps i tried to load crashed till i played around with the CPs or added a few objects (but in your case you seem to already have a lot of objects

I had to start all over, I think I killed it, it disapeared from the list of maps when I tried to play it ingame, I did a little research and found out I probable wont be getting it back

OK so I made a new map, copied the wasp from another map, so the map is basically finished, for right now I made to control points and a few spawn points
but its still crashes, this time at around 69% I figure it has something to do with the level settings, wich Ive yet to fool with, whenever I click on it all the spaces are blank, ive tried filling them in, but nothing sigh

I still cant get it to work in game but heres a few pictures in game(note:very bad quality, and water textures not finished) <place picture here> edit: ahaha, cant find em, Ive looked all over my folders but cant find screenshots I took

The crash is a common problem. Screenshots as stated by BlackDeath5 the screenshots are in (here is my path) C:\Documents and Settings\Preston\My Documents\Battlefield 2\Screenshots\ To display in the forum using imageshack or filebucket gives you the code for the image, you need the Code:

yes I know of that secret hideout, Ive visited, nice drapes, but no screenies, except for the ingame ones Ive shot, but not the editor view
If I can get it working ingames, this will be alot easier edit:checked ou the link, I remember hearing something like that, but Im not making a mod for BF2, I can successfully make a map for vanilla in windowed mode, also Im trying to run SF in windowed mode, but how???

Bah sorry, I was tired and miss read.
If you want to pass the map over i'll see if I can fix it. If you want to keep it under wraps a bit more infomation is needed, does it crash at the same point? what is it loading at the time? are there any errors or warnings when you load the map in the editor? ect ect ect

I wouldnt mind passing it over to you, just dont know how to do that
but some more info- it crashes around 67%-69% each time I get an error saying- Quote:
I have no idea what that means, its talking about an ATV in my map maybe, but I dont have any vehicles in my map(couldnt find them)

Looking at that its what the link I provided earlier is talking about
Firstly what is the XPack_Patch and RedDX9 ? Did you copy and paste or type in the details because looking at that path the TextureM anager.ccp has a space in it which is strange as spaces cause a lot of problems so _ is usually used. You can email it to, mpreston85 at hotmail.com but if those things are additional resources or patches i'll need them as well.

Go to
C:\Games\BF2\mods\bf2\Levels\mapname zip that folder and email it. I don't have the expansion so i'm afraid I can't really help you. Sorry. --------------------- If you can unzip a map that came with the mod find the directory menu/hud/texture/ingame/vehicles/icons/hud/minimap/ Find the mm_xpack_atv file and copy that into the same directory as above in your maps folder.
