Member conduct during off-peak hours

Just as a reminder, and this shouldn't need to be said, but let's make sure that everyone on the server in off-peak hours is still playing with maturity and as a team. Especially if you've got a TG tag on, remember that new people will view you as representative of the community and will decide to come back here based on your conduct. I just saw this guy's response to our 'TG recruiting' thread on planetbattlefield (top comment on the page):

http://www.forumplanet.com/planetbat...id=1791665&p=5

It sounds like there were only a hanfull of people on the server, and it was probably at least a 32 player map, which can be frustrating. However, let's do our best to branch out, get new guys in our squads (invite them), and show them what tight squadplay is like, even if it's only a handful of us on at the time. Even telling the other team to fight at a certain CP until more people join will help boost the action a bit.

Re: Member conduct during off-peak hours

I was online during that time. I remember him, he was on the opposite team. It being on a 32 player map, on maps like wake island and zatar, does he expect an immediate response at a flag he turns grey? it takes time to get places.

I don't get exactly what he is griping about? Maybe the lack of players?

Re: Member conduct during off-peak hours

We boast up TG as a fully committed teamplay server so that we can see people who are on the fence try it out. That means that there is a high level of expectancy, and if it falls short of that then they feel let down, and even lied to.

For example that thread states about seeing TG tagged players for a real taste of community teamplay. If all they see is 6 TG guys all in the same squad then it starts to feel more clike a clan server (where clan guys squad up to go around kicking the pubs) than what we are really about.

Remeber EVERYONE wearing a TG tag is a representative of this place, nomatter whose servers you are on. That means YOU... EVERY ONE OF YOU that wears the tag has a PERSONAL responsibility to ensure that this place is as good as it can possibly be every time you play here. If you don't want that responsibilty leave your TG tag behind.

Re: Member conduct during off-peak hours

Off hours play is tough, I was on today in the afternoon and we had no admin on. The opposing commander was artying the USMC carrier. We warened him multiple times but he proceeded to do this 4 times.

No Admin plus low number of players is not conductive to team oriented play. Im not condoning it im just giving my opinion.

Not at all Strike - you are right and it is good that you did post this!

We will have to work harder to ensure admin coverage is more complete. Bubba and I were around earlier, but I guess we had left by the time you got on. My apologies for that.

No problem, there were only 30 people on the server, I dont expect it to be high level of play that time of day. But its still TG so its always better than a pub.

While I am not a member of TG, I do enjoy playing on your servers simply because chain of command and cohesive gameplay are stressed. There are occassionally lapses of this (trying to be politically correct) but its great fun to play when everyone on your side is pulling for the team and not out trying to get the highest score for themselves.

For real. Last night was strange. Saturday night and not 1 admin on at all. Not saying there was any rule breaking going on, but we could have used one when the map switched to Strike at Karkand 2 and halved the size of the server population. Plus, no admin to pass the server for the night either. (Saturday nights or did I miss something?)

Re: Member conduct during off-peak hours

In a related note I don't like people complaining all the time (the map sucks, the commander sucks, the opposing team is too strong, the other teams guns are too good, our guns are too weak, this guy killed me for the third time now).

Have some fun guys - listen to munchkin when he is playing. He is constantly giggling you want to slap the guy. But it actually lifts your spirits, much more so than the complainers.

|TG| tag wearers are required to uphold the same standard of conduct no matter where they are playing or posting.

Make the community look good people! If you wear the tag, you are our representative. Do us proud, or don't take the tag.

HAHAHA, he definitely is, and just make your day with that Australian accent. I love his sense of humor even when he teamkilled me for a plane(PUBBIE STYLE).

I'm usually on Fri-Sat-Sun nights, but I wasn't on Saturday night. I was filling out a 15 page job application and needed to concentrate

We removed the password since the server wasn't filling up when PW'd, and we can still have excellent games with the SM reserved slots.
