I played on Karkland and Wake. Karkland went bad for the MEC, but then with Santa's leadership the Chinese pulled off a great comback on Wake. Good job to those of you in my "TG LOVE" squad. We had first place on Karkland.

I would like to hear some feedback on my squad leading. I think I do well except for when I zone out and have no idea what's going on.

I have only one thing to say about Wake. Bodark...Viper...I hate your guts on that map, and any other map with air assets, unless you're on my team of course.

Re: December 5, 8:00-9:45 PM

From my eye, you did really good hockey. I remember zooming in on one of the squads to see who the squad leader was (because i was impressed) and your name was green.

Wake started HORRIBLY for us. We lost the airfield almost immediatly and it soon deteriorated to us only having the 2 northern flags. At that point i got dropped because of a connection problem, and unfortunatly joined up as USMC. About a minute later i got a chance to go back to china and command. At this point i had basically given up hope of winning, but i basically sent every 6 man squad forward except for the one on the northwestern flag. After a few minutes i got my scan back up and realized that no USMC troops were on the airfield beacuse they had all moved north on the no mans land. Squad 5 got a jeep, went on the coastline, and got to the flag.

At that point we had the northwestern flag and the airfield. We had kill zones at each flag and we were slowly gaining back the lead, but it was too slow to get us a win before time ran out. I told all the squads that we needed to have every southern flag and then wed be able to have a really large kill zone north of the airfield. Squad 1 somehow got the southwestern flag and we closed in on the beach. With all of that secured, i sent squads north and 2 stayed back on defense at the airfield and south base. Because of the narrow nature of the position that the US had, my jets squad and my arty racked up HUGE kills that eventually turned the lead over to us with about 10 minutes left. Because of the jets, armor, infantry, and arty pounding the US base, at one point i literally only saw 5 enemy units when i scanned. They were all dead

Good job to everybody on wake, it was one hell of a come back win.

Let's just say this was a less-than-fruitful undertaking for the US air corps. I'll leave it at that...

GGs to everyone tonite. Definitely a different feel with the new weapon candy made available. Flashbangs on Karkand. Who would've thunk it?

I did like getting a Dark Viper knife kill as CO at his main base on Mashtuur. Now I just owe him about 50 more and we'll be even.

Great job to the TG LEARN squads on Oman and Mashtuur. You guys kept it up the full game on Oman despite not being able to get anything done due to the air power, and you worked very well together on Mashtuur at the Mosque, Hotel and N. Gas Station. I'm definitely looking forward to more.

Re: December 5, 8:00-9:45 PM

I received my copy of SF today, installed it, then saw everyone was still on server one (so i haven't even loaded a single game yet, boo hoo hoo), so i joined up as CHINA during Wake (Santa's miraculous comeback). immediately i killed three teammates and realized i was suffering the IFF bug. so i rebooted, rejoined (again as CHINA) and still about 30% of my teammates were showing up red. so i decided it would be good for me to get "visual confirmation" that the person showing up as red was actually wearing a USMC uniform before engaging, and man...that...was...awful. i ended up just hiding next to Santa and breathing in his ear...i don't think i fired a single round the last 15 minutes of the round or so. anyway, Wake was the only round i was able to play before leaving for work, but between the IFF bug (forcing me to refrain from shooting at anything red), the weapon unlocks, and the influx of pubbies, that seemed like a totally chaotic fragfest. the frustrating kind.

alright, time for me to research the IFF bug...i'm sure there's a solution out there...EA's never let me down before.... *cough*

There was a TG Learn squad up most of the night on the USMC side. Its been up a lot more lately but its not *always* there. If you dont see a learn TG squad then best bet for the same experience is join a squad that has the Squad Leaders name as it name or one of the in-house squads - 2nd, 42nd, 7th etc.

Re: December 5, 8:00-9:45 PM

That was a rough night. Not used to all these new unlocks, and definitely not used to getting shot by them. Aim felt off, damage felt off, I made bad decisions, argh, it was painful. Hockeydude, that was a good run as SL. My only advice would be to make sure that we have a clear objective and that everyone in the squad knows what that objective is. The action was so fierce we got split up a lot, I know that must have been frustrating.

Also, Perry gives me nightmares now. He waded through 3 infantry and 4 blasts from the DAO-12 to knife me in the face on Karkland. Then on Mashtuur, he sniped me from a building, evaded my countersnipe, and then when I climbed up to knife him, he sniped me from a DIFFERENT building. *shudder*

Re: December 5, 8:00-9:45 PM

Wake Island was a great round last night with an excellent effort by both sides. I was truly amazed that China came through with the win. I was looking at the ticket count at one point and USMC was pretty far ahead. Next time I looked up it was completely different. It seemed like over the course of a certain 5 minutes or so of the game, the ticket balance changed dramatically. Then it was on to defense and the Northern kill zone.

Ahhh yes, fun times were had by all.

Re: December 5, 8:00-9:45 PM

Wake was a blast to fly in. After we initially lost the airfield we did what we could with what we had. After I ran out of ammo, I spent a looooong time just flying around getting locktones on the enemy jets and choppers to annoy them. I chased after one particular jet for probably 5 minutes as he ducked and rolled to break the lock, not knowing I had nothing but colorful handgestures to throw at him
