Colledge scheduling
I am scheduling for the spring 06 semester, I need 12 hours and currently have 10. Do you guys think i should take this class as a filler class???
Boy does it sound cool. ![]() The part about the m16/m60 makes me wanna enroll in that class.

Re: Colledge scheduling
Ouch. Beth's gonna need some vaseline for that burn.
Keeping on topic... the class DOES look interesting.... ![]()

Re: Colledge scheduling
No, this is just the class description pulled from the catalog of 03-04.
The class is offered, but the UNO staff didn't have enough time to make a new catalog being that UNO had 12 feet of water in most of the buildings. No, I am not an idiot in this sense.

Re: Colledge scheduling
Hmmm, and I thought the thread topic was ironic...

Re: Colledge scheduling
Well, I was going to make a smartass comment about going for SpellCheck 1001 instead, but I figured my comment was enough
![]() I'd be surprised if you got to fire the weapons in that class. Think of how popular it would be if everyone found out about that Put up with a few dry lectures in order to get to blast away with an M-60 - yea, they wouldn't be able to get the ROTC cadets in to the classes Honestly, I think that the class would be rather boring unless you're planning on going in to the Army and need to know the info. Some of the battlefield-type info would probably be interesting to learn, but don't go in to it thinking you'll spend 1/2 the time at the firing range. And be prepared to meet military grooming standards in the classroom.. haircut and freshly shaved. Personally, I think an Army history class would be more interesting. Shrug. |

Re: Colledge scheduling
Well, I'll use it as a buffer class. In LA(not L.A.), every class you take above 12 hours is free. If I don't like the class, I'll drop it the first day. Simple as that, but I would like to look deeper into a military history class. Thanks for the input.
Oh, I misspelled the topic by accident, and I can't change it now.

Re: Colledge scheduling
Ah, but isn't it ironic that you think I used the word ironic incorrectly, again?

Beth, I took a very similar class. I think if someone handed me one right now, I could still disassemble and reassemble an M16 blindfolded. Although, the best part of the class was, by far, the final. Well, right after the officer who tought it, of course. And then after unloading a SAW on an unsuspecting target. Only after... Well it was fun to say the least.
