6 Dec Karkand 23:30 CDT
The US had just taken back the square and two of us from NorCalRoach's squad climbed the building to clear it... Visuvius (think it was you) jumped off first and just as I opened my chute the arty started to fall into the square, shredding the 2 squads moving through. I hit the ground with my shock paddles in hand and revivied 4 before the bodies got cold...
Great work by 2-TACTICS NorCalRoach (SL), Hardtale, visuvius, KurtisMayfield and firecat101 as we spent about half the round harassing the MEC team on the east side of the river. NCR did a good job of moving around so they didn't find our spawnpoint ... LuckyShot you got close a couple times which is why I was charging you while firing, trying to give our SL time to get away. We couldn't hold much, but we must have kept pressure on -- it worked, until you guys pinned us down close to the river with APC and infantry. I don't know how the round ended, as I got kicked to let an SM in. Looks like I know what I'll be getting myself for Christmas... Boot |

Re: 6 Dec Karkand 23:30 CDT
frah! I joined up on this map as MEC, and saw that we were in quite a state of disarray. Our commander had also either resigned, logged off or otherwise left the Chair, so I figured I'd step in.
I COed for maybe 5 minutes before my connection dropped. So I reconnect, and operated for maybe another 10 minutes before I dropped again. That was frustrating. And here I thought I had gotten my connection issues all worked out! Thanks to munchkin for joining my squad and being a cool squaddie. It's too bad you had to disconnect. You're great to play with dude. Dice.

Yeah that was a fun round! My squad (Lead by "B") were defending the land bridge most of the game. We succesfully held it until about 2 squads of infantry, 1 APC and a tank rushed us. Boy, we didn't last long :P. But we managed to re-take it. Then we charged across the land bridge and starting capturing bases behind thier lines. All in all it was a great game! And once again, great leading "B"!

Ooooh that was some game...
The most amazing was our squad's medics scored the highest I have ever seen... Messiah got 231 point or something. Woozie got 191 point. About the loss of factory... We were gonna just hold the land bridge untill the whole defence on the other side rushed us... So we let them by and crossed the river ourselves. All about patience... ![]() |

Re: 6 Dec Karkand 23:30 CDT
I was gutted about that factory take. I was left over on the east side to patrol with the APC whilst the rest fo the squad went flag hunting. I was on the south and was focused that way, trying to provide covering fire for my squad to take the hotel. Worked a lot better once i switched to engineer. I saw red dots to my north, and moved around to take them out. 5 or 6 grouped dots, in the open.. this was going to be so easy.
I forget who the sacrificial AT guy was, but a massive well done on your teamwork and sacrifice. The squad dropped this 1 AT guy off to deal with me, and although I eventually took him down he had delayed me enough for the rest of their squad to jump in cover on the flag. I went in too hasty trying to be a hero, grabbed a couple kills then got nailed. Sorry for letting the side down guys - after they retook the factory we bled tickets like crazy. ![]()

Good job By NorCal leading. He stayed alive and lead us to capping the Factory behind the MEC backs a few times, making the MEC expend resources trying to track us down. I do not know how much of your soul you had to give up to stay alive so long NorCal, but it was worth every bit of it. ![]() And GG Lucky, Leonidas, Wulfyn, and any other MEC that killed me last night. |

Re: 6 Dec Karkand 23:30 CDT
Good game last nite, though is was disorganized due to the new jacks. I had to give up leading one squad and formed another that eventually filled up. The only name I recognized was GM Custom, but this squad was able to grasp the concept of following orders. Happily, I was able to whip them into shape and we became a decent squad. Good job to everyone who ended the round on my squad. If that was your first time with TG (couldnt tell since only two people had a mic), welcome.
Most memorable part of the round was taking and defending the Train Accident. I was in an APC backing up my guys. MEC pushed hard across both bridges and even the river bank. But we held for a long time and kept mowing everyone down. I know I contributed to the medics scores since I kept killing the same names over and over again. My APC held up unrepaired after killing 4 APCs, a few Vodniks, and a whole lotta infantry before being taken down. With the evil, squad spawning, fire spitting APC vanquished, MEC quickly overran the Train Accident. |

Man.. You have no idea. After an extremely hard-fought swim to the far bank of the river near train wreck, I had my squad spawning on me. I was able to stay well enough hidden where you and a few others couldn't see me, but unfortunately you were behind that @#$@#$ fence. You must have mowed my entire squad down 4 or 5 times with your APC, as you were able to shoot us but AT rockets would just explode harmlessly into the fence Since you had me so effectively pinned down with your APC, and your squad fanning out around you - I couldn't move to get a better line of sight on you. Great positioning of that vehicle.. I had two guys AT trying to take you out, and 2 medics reviving them trying for probably 4 or 5 minutes straight. Was a pretty good round - I was SL'ing so I tend to lose a lot of feeling of intensity, as I'm concentrating so much on just trying to not look like an idiot telling my guys what to do. I had a great group of folks though, even though I forget names (I was going to write them down the next round, but by then over half the squad dropped so I didn't get a chance to) - everyone played as a team and were very self-sufficient. Sorry you were led by a newb. Also, as an aside. A big thank you to the TG tag wearing player (sorry, I'm absolutely terrible with names) who encouraged me to stay SL when I was forced into the previous round mid-round after tempus got teamswitched. This Karkand round taught me a few well-faught lessons with your guys' blood, so hopefully I can help out more in the future and be an effective SL when needed - as it seems it's hard to find guys who really enjoy doing this. Good rounds that night... -Phil |
