December 6 Dragon Valley
I hopped in the server and didn't see a commander, so I clicked the apply button. SORRY
But you guys did really well and followed my orders. Excellent job turbo for bouncing around on their back flags. Tempus awesome job holding the Docks (you should have seen the scan, they were ALL OVER that flag, as i'm sure you knew.) I actually tried artying the squad leader on the hill above you, but the arty bug kept making me miss. And excellent job of course to luckyshot. Your armor column was excellent at capping and defending those flags. I wanted to have you guys move out and start attacking their northern flags but we all know what happens on dragon if you don't keep a squad near the refinery to defend it. We lost by like 20 tickets, and it was mostly because of their choppers tearing us to pieces, I did have a responsive air force but we just couldn't seem to cover the infantry enough. Next time I command on that map I am definitely letting them have the docks. It's just too far away for the jets to defend well. Anyway, I sucked but good job ! |

Re: December 6 Dragon Valley
That was actually a fun round (I don't like Dragon much). The chopper raping was the difference, however. We probably lost 50 tickets to them just on the docks. But I still think the docks are worth holding....as long as the jets can keep the choppers off of the infantry.
I had a great squad, too, who never got discouraged and did a wonderful job communicating the situation.

Re: December 6 Dragon Valley
Thanks to all the guys in CandyCane last night for a good DV. Lately I've been practicing different aspects of my game, so for this one I wanted something largely asault based. This is why we spent a large amount of time in the southern side of the map, trying to harass the backlines so they could not push up their forces to squeeze us agains the unforgiving hills.
Mixed success, we had a coupe good goes at the back flag, but were repelled both times, although the lfags just south we had some decent success with. Was a good laugh as well - even if we were getting spammed by helos for the entire game (as with Oilfields 1 is bad enough - 2 is crippling). Was fun to be tearing arounfd the map trying to draw the enemy into a flag amnd then skirt behind him to give them the runaround as much as possible. Overall I was pretty pleased with how we did - oh apart from whenever i got in LOS of asch the sod killed me. ![]() Thanks guys ![]()

Re: December 6 Dragon Valley
My squad took the hill/overlook back and got pouned for what seemed to be 10 minutes straight. It was like a duck shoot for the choppers. I think you did a good job commanding. They somehow got three attack choppers in the air and that did us in. Was a fun game though.

Everyone was very responsive and it made it possible for us to keep the US at bay. Overall, it was a slight (20 ticket) loss, but it was extremely well played by both sides. Nice job Bhack for not having us abandon the Refinery and still allowing us to have a strong presence. Good games all night! Lucky Shot |

Re: December 6 Dragon Valley
Yeah I was in Wulfyn's squad with James and it was definitely a fun time trying to take the Refinery. We actually had it white once or twice, but that was it. Too much armor would come pouring in and we'd be wiped.
That was the most fun I had on DV in a while. Great conflict and a great comeback by USMC. I can't get enough of those tight games. ![]()

Re: December 6 Dragon Valley
Damn that sure was a battle last night. I was with the USMC before getting disconnected cause of a SM. Are CO had us push to China's main base later in the round. 3 of us in the squad crept around to the airfield to grab your RoFFLE chopper cause your main base was crawling with armor. The funny thing was while doing so I saw Bhack hiding in the grass doing his commander duties. Sorry bud I couldn't help but knife you in the back. I found it funny as hell, but a couple seconds later he ended up spawning and killing me. Probally should of ran away. Good round!!

Re: December 6 Dragon Valley
Yeah Lucky, it seemed like wherever I went that night I was getting pounded by a fellow 42nd'er. Man there's no loyalty
![]() Everytime i went around a corner there would be asch looking right at me with an eryx to his shoulder. I swear his character had a broad grin. I tried a few sneaky hides, but in the end we got flushed out. Like Beatnik saiud we manged to draw you out just enough to get the flag white, but never anymore. Highlight of the match... finding a randomly downed black hawk in the power station and using it to attack your main. Rounding the big tanks to the south what should we see but the PLA attack helo just taking off from the heli-pad having respawned/repaired..... well I'm sure you guys can work the result out. ![]()

Re: December 6 Dragon Valley
I was in Tempus' squad (As Phil2222), the one (eventually) tasked to hold the docks.
Definitely one of the better squads I've been part of, and this was one of the best games I've played in - in recent memory. Extremely well-matched teams, and all around fun to be had. The helicopters were hell on the docks - it seems by the time we'd finally get one to start smoking and head off to the carrier to repair, the second chopper would already be engaging us. This was all the while holding off an attack by at least one squad pretty much the entire time we were there. All in all great game - the best of a number of great games that night. Tempus definitely did one of the best jobs SL'ing I've been party to recently, even though he needs to be outfitting his APC with some GPS navigation units. ![]() Great time guys, thanks! -Phil |
