Dec 7th: Night Flight

The British SAS were without a commander for the better half of the round, but due to some good inter-squad coordination, we were able to make do until we acquired a commander later in the round.

I was in Bhack's "Ninjas" squad. He led us to capture several flags, but kept getting disconnected. Eventually I had to take over as SL. The SAS were able to keep the OpFor on bleed for quite a while and we took an impressive lead. However, the relentless opposition eventually turned the ticket bleed around and we quickly found ourselves neck and neck.

My squad was invloved in a fierce firefight for the NE (edit) flag up on a rooftop. We took the flag, they took it back, we took the flag, and they took it back again. A lot of men died on that roof. Eventually we were able to take it back and hold it due to sheer persistence and tenacity. At that point the score was around 42/43, their favor. The last 10-15 minutes was a nail-biter! In the last 30 seconds the score was 5-1. Look below to see the final score.

Fantastic job squad!

I was on Tempus' squad for OpFor. Very nice round. Whomever's SAS squad that was defending the northern most flag had a really great setup. There were guys all over the buildings. I think it took us about 10 minutes or so to finally take that flag. Shortly after we had it, the other flags were all OpFor as well so we had a massive push from the UCB that we couldn't stop. It was fun while it lasted though. Good shooting folks.

Re: Dec 7th: Night Flight

That was probably us on Airport Terminal. I think that's the name of the flag we were on. I said we were on a middle flag, but I just found a screenshot of the map and we were deffinitely on the North East flag.

You guys were relentless! I've never seen so much tear gas and frag grenades all in one spot. I'm surprised there weren't more tks than there were. That was intense!

BTW Faultline, you are a beast! Even as a medic, you are still an offensive machine.

Re: Dec 7th: Night Flight

I was in boms opfor squad and james had C4 on the airplane. It went neutral, and then james accidently killed himself with a grenade while trying to detonate the C4. We lost by 1. Jeez james way to throw the game

Last 30 tickets or so we were all laughing about it though. Funniest thing thats happened in quite a while.

Re: Dec 7th: Night Flight

I have to share a story about that round. Toward the end, Bommando's squad was holding the southern points. The enemy were being bled and we had no defenders at the cargo plane. I informed my squad that I still had C4 on it, left over from earlier in the round. I pulled my map up to wait for the flag to go gray. When it did, I switched to C4 and then hit right-click to go to the detonator. However, I mistakenly pressed '4' instead of '5' and since my map was up, I didn't see that I had switched to grenades. My right-click dropped a grenade at my feet. BOOM! I TK'd myself and the enemy took the cargo plane. They then overcame the deficit and won the round by 1 point.

Edited to Add: Ah, Santa beat me to it. And if not for that loss by 1 ticket, our team would've won six rounds in a row!

Yes, you guys were murdering us once the server filled up. Fortunately, the God of War took pity upon us and sent a little divine intervention our way.

Had the game went on for 1 more second you would have won. When it went down to 5-1 about 2 squads of us (SAS) got hit by arty. The first 2 shells came in and killed 4 guys, making it 1-1, then I literally saw the 2nd pair of shells freeze in mid air over about 2-3 SAS guys and the scoreboard appear saying we won.

That was us as well at the airport terminal, I wonder if when you were finally able to hold it was just after I left?

i'm gonna settle this. it was DRJONES666 squad. he, me, and LEADINYOURHEAD were in that squad and we went toe to toe with Tempus' squad for a good 10 minutes, Fault is correct. it was my first time playing SF so i'd constantly turn my head and when i turned back my squad was gone, so maybe that's why we seemed so "spread out" heh.

i didn't play well. too overwhelmed by the "newness" of it all... BUT i did enjoy the sneakiness factor...the enemy didn't know where you were...but sadly, i didn't know where i was, either...heh...

Re: Dec 7th: Night Flight

Guys, that was an awesome round...great rounds all around. I still don't know the names of all the maps though.

I want to apologize to my squad if you guys had a hard time understanding me. I sound even worse this morning, my head feels like it's going to explode and I can't even breathe through my nose.

Off to the store for some Afrin!

Re: Dec 7th: Night Flight

I came on, started NINJAS.

Internet drops. Came back on, started "NINJAS2?" everyone rejoins up... internet drops.

Came back on again, restarted my original "NINJAS", squad fills up, play for 15 minutes. Internet drops.

Brighthouse: 1, Ninjas: 0
