Interesting. I notice that this demo was not shown before because current technology could not run it at decent framerates. All of a sudden this nVidia 6800 is released and it runs at showable framerates. I doubt the card has that much of a performance increase. I also notice that the models shown had polygons in excess of 10,000. Typically, games currently use about 1,500 to 3,000 polygons. The reason is computers would buckle under so many polygons. The demo had one creature with 10,000 polygons. Now, make a game with 10 of those attacking you plus game geometry and lets see how the framerates are with the 6800.
