Re: Karkand 12/8

yeah snail your squad was insane. At first we tried some attempts on the east side but couldnt get a great hold and were losing tickets too fast. We were down by about 50 so i just pulled every squad back on defense at the suburb, square, and hotel. In that setup the MEC had to fight up hill everywhere just to get a flag, so we quickly got in the lead and kept our lead growing. MEC made failed attempt after failed attempt trying to climb the ramps up to the suburb, and got mauled everytime. They were most succesful at the square only because it wasnt so much uphill. Great round everybody, and thanks for listenin to my crazy plan that didnt involve the factory

Edit: Why the heck is my post first now?

Karkand 12/8

Just wanted to give HUGE props for my amazing squad on this map. Im not usually SL but i hope i did a good job.

We were squad 2 for the USMC and basically all we did was attack and defend the hotel and the square. They were under CONSTANT attack. We lost em a few times but we always got it back. Santa can attest to our sheer tenacity. My guys NEVER gave up on those flags.

Dr Jones was jonny on the spot with healin and reviving. I cant count how many times he saved my butt. Great AT'er we had too, but i forgot his name. Actually im sorry but i forgot the other people's names so if you read this feel free to reply and let me know!

Great work Santa on those artys and uavs, really helped us out. It got a little crazy when they sent like 3 pieces of armor and basically thier whole team to the west side lol. It was a really close match but our squad, along with many other great ones pushed us out over the top for the win. With our squad being #1...oh yea. Amazing round. Makes me want to SL more :-D

Re: Karkand 12/8

Ya, the uphill battle definetely killed us. If mec would of just sat back and defended we might of had a chance. There was so much defense on the hill that I don't think we even managed to get near the flag.

Re: Karkand 12/8

If i were the MEC CO i would have had everyone fall back to the gaurdhouse, warehouse, and factory. Let the US have the cement factory and then corner them in with armor and squads. Thats such a bad base to have on the east side.

Re: Karkand 12/8

Karkand needs bleed again...some maps are better with no bleed but there is no point in even attacking anything on Karkand without bleed... If MEC would have just sat on the East side like we should have been doing, there wouldn't have been any fighting going on.

Yea, our CO was someone new that I've never seen on the servers before, he'll learn in due time. He was a bit aggressive and kept sending us on suicide missions against the suburb. It was terrible watching our lead slip away through all those lemming rushes.

Re: Karkand 12/8

I was SLing Squad 1 for MEC. I had a great, super-capable squad, consisting of perry, Barracuda_Magoo, Cymba, Penguin, Bodark, fencer, visuvius and others over the course of 2.5 maps. We were meeting you guys at the Hotel and the Square for the first 20 or so minutes of the map, until the CO re-assigned us to the Gatehouse.

With no vehicles nearby, we had to hoof it; 5 minutes later we arrive at the attack vector, which was already in MEC hands. Then we were assigned to the factory, which was by this point under contention. With still no vehicles, we start walking again. The factory was recaptured mere seconds before we arrived.

So, we then we set up a defense, but no one ever showed up. The closest we got was a glimpse of a USMC Vodnik by the cement factory, to which I immediately dispatched an APC and a couple of infantry, but to no avail.

A little while later, we were dispatched to the suburbs. Again with no vehicles, we got our runners on again and schlepped westward. When we got to the train accident, as has already been noted, we hit a wall. We tried and tried, but could not puncture the USMC defensive set-up.

We tried going straight through. We tried going up and then flanking. We tried using a diversionary tactic. We tried flanking, but starting earlier and going futher south. We kept at the flanking maneuveur because, even though we all died everytime, it seemed to delay our deaths the most of all the attacks we had otherwise tried. At one point, we flanked so far south, that I had everyone just keep on moving south and we helped out with capping the Hotel (good job on that cap, guys).

Anyways, my night consisted of a lot of walking. You know, if I did half as much walking in real life as I do in game, I'd be in dramatically better shape.

I got kicked right as we were beginning the first lemming charge. Who would have thought an SM-kick could be a blessing in disguise?

Re: Karkand 12/8

This was a great match...props to everyone. I was in a great squad and we got some things accomplished but I agree with others in that I think MEC should have stayed on the defensive at the Bridge on the East Side.

Awesome matches in general tonight.

Re: Karkand 12/8

Yeah Squad 9 saw a bunch of aciton over the game. Consisting of securing the Factory after squad 5 capped it, then losing the factory, every other base on the east side, and finally the Suburb. It was a very 'capture quick and hold long' strategy, and even though we took points, we were in a defensive position for 80% of the game. That last strategy was a great one though. We went from 80 or 90 behind at one point to pull it out. Great COing Santa.

Yeah I agree with luni on that snail. You did a great job as SL. Seems like everytime we would leave the Hotel and rush up the street to the Square here comes waves of MEC right back to the Hotel. Sure kept DrJones and I busy trying to keep everybody healthy and alive ! Great match and a lot of fun. Squad worked real good together !

Re: Karkand 12/8

This was my impression of the map

Me: CO I need supplies!
CO: Unavailable...
5 minutes late
Me: CO I need supplies
CO: Unavailable...
Me: Well next time they come up can I have a drop
CO: Unavailable...
Me: Looks at the totally unguarded assets and Santa sitting on a hill and cries...

Re: Karkand 12/8

Our CO had a mic... But he was totally pub CO... I said to CO "CO, this is TG... Tell us whatever and we will do it." then all hell started to break loose. He started to give attack orders... And we started to lose our lead. So I said "CO, we are losing our lead why don't you let your squads dig in rather than letting them attack and losing tickets?" He did not respond..

I don't know what is up with people? I hate pubs and what it does to people now. They can talk but no strategy. Pubs make them shy and unable take control... Pubs make a HUMAN BEING a SHEEP. Something that goes with the flow... I tried to turn the SHEEP into a HUMAN BEING again and he goes silent... lol...
