Korea
Day 9
15:00
OCA Strike on Koksan Highway Strip

Strike
Fury 6
1- Squid
2-Psylent

TarCAP
Serpent6
1- Polish Boogieman

Koksan Airbase and Koksan Highway Strip are two of the closest Enemy installations to the FLOT. Mig-29s are based out of Koksan and despite our previous efforts the Runways are being repaired rapidly.

Fury6 made the strike despite an overcast cloud layer at 2 thousand feet. We came in from Angels 22 at pre-ip and put all 12 bombs on target using CCIP. Boogie in the Tarcap kept the enemy off our tails, and killed one Mig-29. Unfortunately he couldn't avoid one of the R73s they sent his way. We hope the Rescue choppers find him quickly!

Mission Success!

BARCAP (protect valuable infrastructure)

BARCAP
Cowboy6
1-Psylent
2-Squid

As our forces push the FLOT to the North it is imperative we prevent Enemy strikes on our infrastucture. This BARCAP mission shall protect the bridges in the area of steerpoints 3 and 4.

Loaded up with AIM120Cs and HARM missiles Cowboy flight patrolled the assigned area with very little action. We managed to take out a couple enemy ground radar stations with HARM missiles without straying from our route. About half way through our patrol we heard the call: "Cowboy 6, Chalis1 be advised enemy contact bearing 170 for 35 miles, IDd as Mig-29." It's never good hearing a call like that, but Thirty Five miles is way too close for Mig-29s. So, we turned to intercept. We kept one eye on our steerpoint so as not to veer too far off course and watched as friendlies engaged the Migs. Unfortunately as we returned to our station area we suddenly realized an SU-25 had snuck in under our radar. Psylent quickly dispatched him, but it was too late.....mission failure for allowing enemy aircraft access to our area.

Mission Failed!
