Dec 9th: Mashtuur ~1AM

Ok I give up! I tried to write a post about the OpFor struggle on three maps tonight that led up to a massive victory on Mashtuur, but I could not leave out any details. The post ended up being around 1000 words and I wasn't even finished. So I'm not going to write out a battle description at all. In fact I'll be as brief as Delta_Swift can be (not very...and yes I just referred to myself in third person).

Let's just say that I had one of the best experiences as an SL on Mashtuur tonight. I had the greatest squad that obeyed all my orders no matter how trivial they might have seemed. They fought well, they moved well, they communicated well, they supported each other, they supported me, and they supported surrounding squads while still performing their duties in accordance to my orders. I can't describe in a normal size post how exhilirating it was to watch my squad in action. It probably sounds a little silly written down, but I implore you...it was a thing of beauty! We had some of the best firefights I have ever been in. For those that were there, our stand in the square to the west of the Hotel was nothing short of awesome teamwork. Watching you guys set up that kill zone made my night. The five of you holding your own while trying to take back the Power Plant from a US force twice your size your size was amazing too. Five green dots held back 10+ red dots until another squad could assist us in recapturing the base.

I wish I could describe the rest of the battle to you without writing an essay, but I can't. So I will force myself to remain satisfied despite your inability to appreciate how truly amazing it was.

I apologize to the other 3 members of my squad whose names I cannot recall, but xxraydoc and Hardtale...you guys were great tonight. All of you were great tonight. Thank you so much.

Thanks to my squad, (listed above, thanks Mantis, so I don't have to rely on my memory) in the valiant effort to keep the blackhawk operational and then adapting to the city fight when the S Station final fell out of our reach.

Fun round. The MEC were very well organized with multiple Vods always seeming to have a crossfire on the chopper when we had it. Once the MEC had us cut off from our air assets, they did an effective job of containing us in the west city and slowly pounding us until the final, co-ordinated cap ended this mercifully quickly.

Particulary, the alley to alley fighting breaking out of the power plant to the east along the river was intense.

It figures, I left right as Mashtuur was loading. Why did I have to leave right before the best game of the night happened?

Great SL by the way delta. You did an awsome job of staying alive and leading to the right spots. That assault on the power plant was one of the best fire fights I've been in.
