Thursday Night Mashtuur 9:00 - Hero Squad vs. Entire MEC team

Amazing round. Lots of fun with my squad, Cadian, Little Grey, Melon Man, DrJones and Lead-Headache.

(USMC) We started out rushing to and taking the backyard, having secured that and looking clear we moved on to the power plant. The power plant was unusually heavily defended and after a few failed attacks I decided to attack the weaker looking hotel flag. We loaded up one humvee and had melon man take point for a distraction in another humvee, we rushed across the bridge from the mosque and caught the defenders who were facing across the riverbed by suprise and quickly took the flag.

Now we were on defense, the entire time we got light but constant action from the North Gas station and Power Plant. A squad moved into position to the west of the flag. We fought them for a while but neither side was making progress because we couldn't get their SL and they couldn't advance across the street. Then, all of a sudden after ducking behind a wall for a med bag, there seems to be alot more people across the street... This trend continues until we are forced to pull back. Then I see two men make a dash for the cliffs north of the flag, figuring I can catch them off guard I make my way up the cliff and right before I make it to the top we get a UAV. Over 20 contacts surround the flag, we are the only flag there, great. So I come over the hill and the 2 guys has turned to 4 and I am quickly cut down, the rest of the men make their way to the flag and take it quickly.

I was not satisfied with that however and resolved we would get that flag back. After 2-3 unsuccesful trys (probably because there entire team was still there lol) we finally managed to resecure the flag and held it until the last 5 tickets. Many, many intense firefights during this round, it was exellent fun and though I didn't catch any of the names of the squad leaders I was up against, they did a great job.

Also on a side note because of that round our commander (one of my friends from TPF who followed me on the server) is considering becoming a supporting member at TG!

Screens (sorry for the images, had to cut them down so I could upload em to imageshack):

Ya, it was an intense round. I was killed by more claymores that round than any other time. I think it was pheonixxfire that killed all 6 of us using several claymores and then grenades wiping out our squad as we tryed to advance to the hotel. I was impressed. It was hard to gain even an inch without getting wiped out. I only remember our squad taking the hotel once, not much else for the time I was in.

Being a medic on our side was pretty lucrative business. At the end of the map, we were holed up at the hotel and being hammered constantly.

Heh, now you know what it's like to be in my squad with Tempus or Bommando is in charge.

I put my squad in charge of holding the bridge to the NW of the mosque, and we tried to give you some support from across the riverbed. Unfortunately, we had our hands full with the MEC skirting us to the N and NE, and we had to pull back several times to recapture the hotel (or whatever is in the NE). Good job to my group with everything they did yesterday.

It was a pretty action-packed round, lots of fun.
