mic wont activate

my mic wont activate in game. i have to put it on zero and restart mic test for it to recognize i have a mic. but if i put it above 3 it wont do anything even if i restart the test. anyone have any ideas????

also it works fine on ts, vent and yahoo and works great on them. it only has probs on BF2.

Are you plugging it into Mic1? Directly in the back of the soundcard or mainboard?

If you are using the front jack or an 'accessory jack' BF2 won't recognise it unless it is plugged into MIC1. The configuration utility, TS, everything else will let it work if it is in MIC2/AUX1/AUX2.. etc.. but actual in-game won't work.

I hope they fix this.
