Name "The Irregulars

To keep the other irregulars thread a little less jumbled i thought it might be sensible to sort out the naming issue here with a poll. If any other suggestions find favour ill add them in as well. If you like one of the standard options and think you have a good context for it e.g Battle Guard, Battlefield Guards, TG Militia etc also slap that down.

I mentioned it in the other thread , my vote goes for "......Guard". Battle Guard is the best so far (IMHO), but maybe keep "The Irregulars" as a nickname.

Ì think guards might be the best suitable, but actually we are kinda like

We all applied voluntary (anyone can join)
We don't share the same nationality
Most of us are between the ages 18-40
To join:
Recommended minimum physical prerequisites are:
- 30 pushups.
- 50 situps.
- Climb a 20 foot rope without using your feet.
- Run 8 kilometres with a 12 kilogram rucksack in less than one hour.
- 8 chinups with your palms away from you as you grip the bar

I'm not voting, since I'm not on the team, but "The Irregulars" are a very good name for a squad.

just what I was thinking. eat some fiber and stick with one of the other names. or if you want to keep it, do something like "The Irregular Black Gaurds of the Tactical Militia."

As a none native Englishspeaking person, I had to look that one up......got it now. But I dont agree.

I am in agreement with TG_Mateo, the whole idea behind the Irregulars, is the fact that we ARE Irregulars. I think it is a great name in the whole sense of tradition. It was originally started this way, and my opinion is that I think it should stay this way, but then again it is only my opinion. I just think the name would serve more purpose towards our goal, a combined unit of evryone, everywhere no matter status work ethics or time zone, we simply are just "irregular".

What do you think about |TG-UN|, as in United Nations.......after all we all are from different parts of the world, just another suggestion. Even with the |TG-Irr|, also known as the irregulars, we can have the Irr symbolize "inactive ready reserves", but have the nickname of Irregulars. Or how about |TG-MNG|, as in Multi-National Guard. We can come up with a million of these, but should try to dwindle down to a couple to choose from. Still waiting on word about a seperate forum for us, and checking on the rules regarding scrim and comps for non SM's, as far as slots on the rosters are concerned. Been away a couple of days, and see there has been alot of activity in these threads, it is good to see alot of input, and thanks to JimmyTwoHand keeping a tally on everything. Kudos to you Jimmy!
