This was the game right before the server had to restart because the USMC side had problems with squad creation. Just thanking [TG]Kilrogg for being such a kickass pilot! We were on the USMC side and even though we could not speak to each other, we still did good. Eventually I had 132 kills with 280 points with only 5 deaths. Also Kilrogg scored a kill on another helicopter without even lifting off, and we also learned that you can get shot with the stinger from the helipad

Re: Friday Night, 11:30ish Sharqi Peninsula
I even made an effort to not strafe infantry too much and tried to focus on armor/vehicles cause choppers on sharqi are lame but it seemed everyone was in a vodnik or a tank =|. And yeah it was nice of whoever was flying the MEC chopper to line himself up perfectly with my rocket pods as I was turning on the engine

Re: Friday Night, 11:30ish Sharqi Peninsula
I was commanding the MEC side that game. You guys on the US put up quite a fight. You were constantly trying to flank us and take the city entrace (which you did several times) but thanks to SmokingTarpan and Fallens' squads we were able to hold it most of the game. About the same thing happened at the Hotel, but it was Medic^Thug's squad defending it. Overall, I thought it was a really good game.

The time we played Sharqi after the restart I was piloting the MEC chopper and was having a really hard time staying up because my gunner had no idea how to use the TV missle, so if I wanted to take out a Stinger I had to charge it and fire rockets to kill the operator. Of course, I couldn't really do much against the US chopper either because of my gunner's lack of TV missle experience. It's very hard to take down a moving chopper with rockets, especially when my gunner has already given away my aproach by firing the cannons when I specifiaclly told him not to.

Re: Friday Night, 11:30ish Sharqi Peninsula
The lack of chopper support for the majority of the map made attacking difficult as there was nothing to soften up the defense before we went in, and it seemed that whenever we took one flag the one we just left would fall.
It was a very good game though and I have to give props to the guys in my squad (Sorry, I don't remember all the names!) in what became a very solid defensive game. Everyone seemed to know what to do and did a very good job at it. I don't think we ever lost a position to the USMC despite some heavy attacks. I'll give a special pat on the back for my AT guy (Goose) who scored several hits on the Cobra. Even though he was frustrated over it retreating and robbing him of the kills, just forcing it away saved many lives for the squad. |

Re: Friday Night, 11:30ish Sharqi Peninsula
Props to may squad on Sharqi and Zatar last night (My first post into this thread was late last night). Barracuda_Magoo, an awesome medic, and SgtHoman as my trusty Anti tank operator. The others I did't recognize, but you did well and we achieved most of our goals. We got best squad on both maps, both because of Barracuda's amazing revive score. He kills an aweful lot of people for a medic too.
