Zatar - 12/27 8:30 MST - TANKED
I was only in for a bit, but did anyone else check out that "Tanked" squad the US had going? 5 tanks, all occupied by engineers, rolling like patton's 3rd army across the open ground. I assume there were no jets on that map by how close the tanks stayed to each other.
Did squads like this roll before the "no air tweek"? Were there jets on that map and I just didn't notice (only in for a few minutes)? How did that war turn out? Anyone from "Tanked" squad have the story?

::SHAKES FIST:: DAMN YOU, DAMN YOU ALL! LOL. nice job on that, you guys were incredibly effective. EDIT: actually, i was on the same side as you (duh), so i guess i was supposed to direct that towards the usmc squad (C4MINEHELO squad, i think i was called) that was so effective in taking us out. |

My squad helicoptered to the factory. I expected to find some armor - but there was none. We held the place for 20min with the squad split between ATs and engineers. It was a great squad but I forget who was in it.

Re: Zatar - 12/27 8:30 MST - TANKED
I believe that was our squad with TG-1stMIP DrunkenSoul as the SL. We were all Engineers and formed a wall and just wailed away. Even with the occasional AT missle hit, the smoke trail would give away his position and we would all fire away while self healing. Every once in a while I would cycle thru my camera view as we would have a C4 threat from infantry trying to sneak up on us.
Also, there was one sneaky enemy in an APC who actually infiltrated the base where our tanks were spawning; however, with the shear amount of people & armor rolling out, he went unnoticed for a short amount of time. I got in my tank at the spawn point and happened to move the turret to the right and lo and behold, i see the red enemy name tag, so i fired away from point blank range and he was toast. I have to hand it to him, hiding in plain sight almost worked! |
